| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Ah, it's that sad melody again. I think this was a solid episode with the amount of storytelling including the part regarding Hyakkimaru's legs. Despite his condition, he isn't afraid to continue fighting monsters including a rather fearsome one this episode. Quite a violent episode. Hyakkimaru is not someone to mess with when he's mad :o |

| Damn, that was so sad to watch. :( R.I.P Mio. T.T Hyakkimaru's berserk sequence was incredible, animation was so top notch there. Seeing him slice and dice those soldiers was insane. "Hope that what comes out of the cave isn't a beast" Love that Hyakkimaru's first words were Mio. |

| I am a big fan of the 'protagonist is done with your shit and goes on a rampage' moments, so I have to admit I laughed out loud when it happened, but god damn this was sad. The fact that they can both keep walking after that happened is a testament to both their strength. Let's hope Monstermaru doesn't overcome Hyakkimaru in the end. |
| We saw it coming, but this was still depressing af ;_; It was cool when Hyakkimaru went ham on those soldiers afterwards, but still not really satisfying in contrast to the overwhelming sadness which his first words sparked in me. Really great stuff once again. |

| What an incredible ride this was! Sadly, the pacing and direction was a little hasty but good thing the writing delivered making the whole episode really just an incredible ride, like I mentioned before. Hyakkimaru’s vicious rampage there st the end was on point and the buildup to it was amazing, seeing him chop one samurai after another was so very satisfying! I didn’t think it’d be the end of Mio there though, god dang it, I should’ve known considering the number of times that sad melody was on repeat. And those kids, good lord, how lowly of an assault this was but during war times these kind of things do happen and are necessary in the long run but still gutted. I just don’t see why you’d have to slaughter the kids one after the other though, guess it just goes to show just how grim this show can get. The blind man’s final words to Dororo came to reality after all, good foreshadowing as such. Just a little confusion over Hyakkimaru’s leg growing back and him still retaining his voice though, was it because his lower leg was snatched away that he got his voice back? If so, why didn’t he lose his voice once his lower leg grew back? And then there’s the whole big question mark when the return of his voice too. Can’t wait till we find these answers! Eagerly looking forward to the next episode! |

| Holy shit. I knew from some comments in last week's episode that the orignial story didn't end well, but this was just brutal. It broke me. At least now Dororo and Hyakkimaru have something to do for when the war is over... R.I.P Mio. |

| @_MushiRock11_ last episode hyakkimaru gained his voice back by defeating the demon but I think it survived because it bit his leg off, this time he killed him and got his leg back. so the demon had his voice at first but traded it with hyakkimarus leg |

| @_MushiRock11_ Sorry I wrote a bit poorly. The demon had his voice, last episode it was almost defeated but survived by taking hyakkimarus leg. So he gained his voice but lost his leg. This time he killed him and took his back leg |

| As soon as Hyakkimaru lost it when he heard Mio's dying voice, ye fuck, that gave so much chills and had me almost tearing. I didn't expect all the children to die, ffs.. Brutal slaughter scene, i'll be honest, the last dude needed to die as well there, i'm sorry. This is gonna cause problems later on. I feel like there's almost no talk here about the other son being neglected by his own family, i feel for the kid, he tries so hard to earn their approval but to no avail, he must feel painful. |
| This shit woulda been way more intense if they burned her alive like the manga, that was fcking wack. That being said... my heart goes to you Mio and Hyakki, damn that was depressing, but Hyakki slaughtering all of em was more than enough to give me a peace of mind, sad that one got away tho, fck you Dororo. |

| Without a doubt, I'm enjoying this a lot more than the manga and I hope they continue taking this alternate path but still following the same events. Hope this adaptation gets a more dramatic conclusion such as this episode's ending. This episode had a lot of feels. It was still sad in the manga but this time I was devastated even though I knew it was coming. Farewell Mio, you didn't deserve the outcome, but no one ever said Dororo is a fair anime. It was interesting how Hyakkimaru recovered his leg when he defeated the demon who took it. I did not expect that. These last 2 episodes were great. |

| I knew exactly what was gonna happen in this episode and it didn’t make me any less sad while watching it. Hyakkimaru goes after that demon again and this time gets his leg back so that’s good. Probably the only good thing that happened in this episode lol. Sadly while he was away a bunch of trash samurai followed Mio home and killed her and the kids. Poor Mio, she had finally gotten her rice but it was too late. She sang her song up until her last breath. Hyakkimaru went berserk and slaughtered just about every samurai involved. It made me so sad that the first word he says is Mio😭 I guess now the only thing for Hyakkimaru and Dororo to do is move on. |
| Yea no doubt that Dororo is the best anime of the season. Oh my god. I did not see that slaughter coming. They even killed the children what the fuck man. Hyakkimaru for the first time showing real sadness, despair and anger. Rest in peace Kids and Mio. 5/5 Episode. This is the second time in a row that I just sat there listening to the outro while being shocked. The outro fits the vibe so perfectly it's actually insane. |
