they should be 18 years old or older (you should be able to find a source for this; doesn't need to be stated on MAL)

So yes, you can watch Free! when they're in college :)

For I.15 Watch an anime with a non-humanoid main character — state the character; can't have physical resemblance to humans (like human hands); e.g. Pikachu, Totoro, Kyuubey, Sakamoto and Monokuma are valid; Piccolo and Ryuk would be invalid; excludes humans/animals/etc that transform into the other (like Arima, Ahiru):

How would this work for characters that might be considered more human-like (but not necessarily humanoid), such as Lucario and Renamon? (Fortunately Jynx isn't a main character.)

Also, the transforming exclusion - would it apply to, say, Patamon and Tailmon* (who digivolve into the distinctively-more-humanoid Angemon and Angewomon)?

On another point, for item I.13 Watch a completed anime scored 4 or less from an anime challenge team member

Yes, but if you watch the anime and from the research I have done you can tell that they are under 12, sometimes as an inspector we have to make a judgment if it doesn’t give us an exact age.

They're two entirely different things. One is an individual user's score, the other is the user average on the anime's page.

Are we allowed to completely restart an anime that was previously put on hold? Or does that still count as rewatching?

I asked that last year and yes, you can use it again if you start from ep 1 again.
Your start date needs to be from year 2019 ;)

edit: rewatching would mean that you watch again something you previously completed, but since this is from on-hold list it should be ok :)

Oh, for that item yea - just finish what's been sitting on your on-hold list, no need to start over.
I thought you needed an anime that was on your on-hold list for another item.
Oh, just remember to put the original start date (in your form) aka when you first started that anime (that was my mistake last year lol)

If i have seen an anime during this year but i havent used it for my "novice" entry can i use it later fot advanced or intermediate and so on? And if i can, should I write the day when i watched it even if then i was still a novice?

For this one and the other ones that say "an anime that finished airing", does that mean you can not start it until after it as finished airing? Wording is confusing to me.

No, you can't use anything for a tier that you watched before you have finished the tiers before it.

You can use it as long as the start date of those anime isnt before the end date of you finishing the Noivice level.
So basically for you question, no, you're not able to use any anime you've already seen before completing the Novice section (having the last anime for Novice started after any anime of the next level)

For other challenges that ask the same thing about "finished airing" .... you can watch anime that's currently airing as much as you want, as long as it's finished before you start your next section and it's finished before the end of 2019. (And it's gotta be in line with the challenge ofcourse, like the challenge you just mentioned.)

You'd complete it the same way you'd complete any other challenge that says finished airing....

for example "Watch an anime that finished airing with no Opening and Ending themes listed".

can you watch one without an opening while it's airing and it still be counted.

If so, how is the wording different to differentiate the rules between one challenge and the other?

Depends on the instalment of the franchise. In some she is not a human, in other she is.

It means "an anime that has already finished airing". So as you've guessed, you can't start it until after it has finished airing.

I wonder how to word this to not confuse people...

If you have already seen an anime and did not use it for any item in the Novice section, you can't use it for other, except for Expert (for this one you can use any anime watched during the year).

You can't rewatch even a single episode.

I was also planing to use few from my on-hold list but will be able to use only one, for the "on-hold" item.

The other ones explain exactly what to do aswell, make sure that whenever the anime is finished airing / you've completed it, it's valid for that question.

Right, and you can start something with less than 10k completed as it's airing, finish it before it has 10k completed once it is done airing, and it would thusly be a valid show. And the argument for "oh, but that's too easy". It's just as easy to binge it once the last episode is finished before hits 10k. Also there are plenty of shows currently airing that likely will never reach 10k completed.

So acting like it implies it must be finished is frankly baffling to me and there is no difference in wording between that one and the others.

Glad you got your answer, sorry if I confused you with my wording, I was just going by what previous AWC's have been using and how it was worded for the challenges this year.

Your words weren't what was confusing to me, it was your mentality that it was somehow implied how the challenge was supposed to be done despite you admitting that challenges that were worded the exact same way were not being evaluated the same way.

Also the old wording was just as confusing as the new wording, which is why it was changed and mozgow eluded to that. But hey, thanks for being repeatedly condescending and obtuse.
