| Pretty good but some small changes from the original I noticed and I am unsure if they are good or not, 1) Hyakamaru's father in this version has as a motive also that there is famine and stuff in his land, but in the original he just wants to rule everything. Also he openly offers his son to the demons, as the demons appear to be talking to him although we only hear his responses. Is not a surprise in any sense. It seems that this version tries to not make the character to look so evil. 2) In the original Dororo tries to steal some food for an old monk that is starving but the monk dies before he comes back. In my opinion this shows that Dororo is actually pretty kind hearted which is not visible in this version 3) Hyakamaru does not know from the beginning killing monsters will get his limbs back. He realizes this a bit further in the story. 4) In the original the mother is forced to abandon the child not the midwife which makes the father even more cruel. |

| @nightcrawlercyp Giving him relatively "redeeming" facts was the only thing that did not sit well with me. He wasn't eveil in the original story, he was just totally driven by his ambition and giving up his son was a pretty good manifestation of it. @AwesomeAlfie27 Oh, right ! o_O (thanks for the picture but the drawing is not from me, someone made me this photoshop picture thirteen years ago and since then I never found the original art she used. | Some people are complaining about the op but I absolutely love it ! Also, I'm not sure if I'm just gonna watch the anime or if I should the manga.. or maybe a previous adaptation of it ? Anyway, it was a pretty damn cool first episode. |

| I loved everything about this episode. Looks like the show I will love. So lord's first son managed to get his face from the demons at the end of the episode. Looks like it will be an interesting journey. |
| This episode seemed somewhat rushed, but I still enjoyed it a lot. The OP and ED are great. |
| The fight scene between Hyakkimaru and Deiki was so cool, really well done. Already like Dororo, easiest way to make me like character is to portray them being nice to dogs. :P Very nice episode overall, can't wait for more. Really glad that it's gonna have more than 12 episodes. |

| Dororo is so much like Ten from Kingdom.His face and voice is like a girl may be there is a twist that he is a girl. Anyway great episode and I want to see the backstory of Hyakkimaru and who took care of him after he was abandoned and cursed. |
| This show is going to be one of the best of this season. Animation is solid. Opening and ending themes are really co. That fight scene was also really cool to look at. Hope it's going to be a 2 cour show. |

| Well, they do put a lot of effort into this anime. It give me the same vibes as Studio Ghibli but R 17 + rating. The story is really great. I'm pretty sure this is one of the most decent anime of 2019. But the voice actors doesn't give me that much impressions, especially Dororo. My score for this anime is ranging between 7.5 and 8. But someone I admire here scored it to 9. So, it got score 8 from me... xD |

| Hooked. Have to travel back quite some time to when I actually religiously planned on watching 3 or more animes in the same season. 2019 has been a great start for anime. |

Besides, I'm just curious on the reason of people enjoying something that I can't see the appeal, but I'm actually fine with people enjoying it. And yes, its not for me, i personaly find most of them boring. And no, thats not the point, im not saying you are an exeption, just pointing out people with your tastes would probably not enjoy a series such as this, with gorgeous action and a dark themed story. Thought its probably too early too judge since we barely know the protagonists yet. |
