Well, idk if you can mark the reviews as "good" but I had a friend who loved this anime: Amnesia. I just find it boring and horrible in every way, I couldn't bring myself to continue watching it. It was so freaking boring I don't even really know what it was about anymore

One Piece (Most overrated shonen IMO, I hate the characters, the "fights" and the power system).

Nanatsu no Taizai (IMO generic trash)

Tokyo Ghoul (the anime is even worse than the manga)

Definitely Toradora, I seriously don't understand why people enjoy that series, it just made me mad. Another one is probably Food Wars, though I don't hate it, I don't comprehend why people say it's a brilliant shounen. It gets extremely boring when they explain how they made their dishes.

I feel the same about both of these.

Death Note I've already mentioned earlier but Tokyo Ghoul just felt so tonally off to me. I mean what am I, as a human, meant to feel for these ghouls? Sympathy? Because they take humans off the streets and eat them, but they're people too so it's ok?

It was all over the place, man.

The original Steins Gate.

I really liked Stains Gate 0 though. I've realised that's because in the original Okabe is annoying, but when he's depressed he isn't!
It wasn't just that, I also found the pacing to be better in 0 and less boring as a result.

for me its TTGL. Don't know why people bash SAO for having ass pulls while Gurren Lagann does the same. Not to mention the last fight was stupid imo. The animation was quality tho.

Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas, and with it, the entire Saint Seiya franchise. I don't hate it, but don't like it either, I just think it's boring.
To some extent, Tokyo Ghoul (well, I never had interest in it to begin with).

no other real reason besides the fact that I hate mecha.

Higurashi. After the first 8 episodes i got bored of the formula, still great at suspense and horror but feels like a chore

One Piece. It's just too darn long for me to enjoy

Mirai Nikki. It had an interesting premise but quickly became way too edgy for its own good. The main character is an uninteresting piecve of paper and Yuno is too crazy to be relatable. The only interesting character all die so yay

Full Metal Alchemist. The story and characters were great but the awful comedy and filler really ruined the seriousness of the show. I've heard Brotherhood is better so that's always something

Love Live!. No, just no

Goblin Slayer. Great premise: a dark fantasy show that isn't an isekai but the main character is boring and 1-dimensional and doesn't really have any interesting motivation

I didn't watch Goblin Slayer and I don't think I will but:

Mirai Nikki for sure. I mean the reviews are partly on my side but the score is still sitting quite high and I dont understand why. Its an awful show with weird characters and only a few being acceptable. Then theres the non sense story, I mean really? A god who decides his successor in a game where people use phones with abilites to kill their opponents?

Violent Evergarden has beautiful, painstakingly detailed artwork and fluid animation but that couldn't salvage it for me. The protagonist felt like a half-assed amalgamation of tropes which worked well in older, better shows and the setting didn't feel sufficiently fleshed out. I wanted to like it but couldn't bear having to subject myself to it each week so I ended up dropping it.
Take care of yourself

Strong words, man.

I won't knock anyone's taste but you can't really say FMAB has bad character development. Mustang's arc is brilliant. Same with Scar. They have well developed back stories that compel (in part) and inform their motivations as the show goes on.

It's OK to not like something but I just had to point that out :)

It's on my watch list but I've seen a few people who say it isn't up to much.

Care to elaborate as to why you hate it? Given that we both thought Death Note and Tokyo Ghoul sucked you might save me a bunch of time! :)

Cowboy Bebop: Boring, Uninteresting, with the only good points being the animation and soundtrack.
Kill la Kill: Awful story, awful characters, Awful Artstyle, Awful setting.
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood: It's not that I hate the show (I gave it an 8), but it's just not THAT amazing. Like, everything that came after the dog was uninteresting and forgettable.
Overlord: Bland characters (Beside the butler guy) and just unoriginal and boring.

A Place Further Than the Universe and Little Witch Academia (TV) - neither could capture my attention. They felt like they just dragged on and on (especially Little Witch Academia, I can't really make that accusation to the other series because I dropped it halfway...maybe it gets good later but I still found it dry too)

Food Wars: All they do in this show is fap and have orgasms over food. It gets boring and predictable fairly quickly, and the unnecessary fanservice doesn't help. If I wanted to watch a cooking contest I'd much rather watch Gordon Ramsey swearing his ass off.

One Punch Man: I understand it's supposed to be a parody but it doesn't mean that I enjoyed it. It's so predictable seeing everything gets defeated in one punch, and I didn't find the show to be that funny. How this is rated higher than One's other work Mob Psycho 100 I'll never know.

Samurai Champloo: I don't think it's a bad series, but I do think it's overrated. Apart from the hip hop and some western influences it comes across to be as a standard episodic anime; nothing that special.

Neon Genesis Evangelion: Described as iconic for its genre, I found it to be rather boring. The monster of the week plot is fairly predictable yet confusing at the same time, I found the characters unrelatable, and the production values were poor. At least the movie series was better.

Uchuu Senkan Yamato 2199 I wasn't impressed by this series

Bondrewd did nothing wrong.

Do you count SAO? It has good reviews but everyone already hates it.
If you don’t count SAO, then you should still count Alicization. It has an 8+ score and it’s still the same boring bull shit, plot holes, and senseless exposition. The only good thing about it is the Tsugutsugu x kayanon ship, and kayanon has gotten barely any time.

Accel World? It’s not rated as highly as SAO, but Reki still fucked it up.

Wotakoi is boring and pandering, I guess everyone who watches anime has played monster hunter and finds it funny, but I didn’t even think it tried to be funny.

Goblin Slayer wasn’t good enough to try something like it did, and then had conflicting tones of both comfy and dark which is more aggregious on a literary level to allow something that contradicts itself like GS does to exist.

There’s also tons of anime that I don’t hate or like, but still can’t stand the fact that it has such a high score.

Bunny girl Senpai wasn’t bad necessarily, but it isn’t even close to as good as sakurasou when comparing the author’s works, let alone the kind of anime that it passes when it has an 8.5+ score.

Slime is just a random boring isekai, the people who enjoy that will like it, but since when is this creative and full of heart? Tsundere dragon pandering to people who like memes? A guy wants his hard drive destroyed when he dies? Each of these things might sound interesting enough alone and people can enjoy it, but it is nothing new or creative. It’s like using the line “that sounds like it’s from a manga”. Sure, it is a kinda interesting line, but it’s not the A standard for meta dialogue. Rather than cheapen the dialogue with corny lines that people in the community like, try lines that make characters more human in an authentic way.

Naruto, for it's inconsistent writing, poor written and annoying characters, and yes, also for the cancerous fanbase.

Toradora, cheap melodrama that's made out as deep, annoying love interest (as a tsundere, ofc she'd be) and one of the stupidest endings for a romance show.

FLCL, are people seeing what I can't? Cause frankly I can't see anything but a western cartoon style anime from with literally no plot and which is hardly comprehensible in any way.

And of course, One Piece. I could resist only 2 episodes.

-Angel Beats: Supposed to be a tear-jerker, it's actually a neurone-jerker that doesn't have any purpose or development, save for the asspull at the end. IMO, the most overrated anime ever.
-Charlotte: Even worse than Angel Beats, shit story, shit characters (bar Nao Tomori), shit development, shit execution, shit everything. I just can't give this show less than a 4 because Tomori and a half decent animation.
-Ao Haru Ride: Where's the actual ending? I am less strict with shoujos, but this anime literally doesn't have any sense of where to end, that's why all shoujos are 2 cours or have 2 seasons...
-Overlord: Already 2 episodes in and I can't quite find the grace of this. Nice concept, terrible execution.
-Saekano: There's nothing worse that a boring anime, with boring characters and boring fanservice, also the "meta-references" were quite idiotic because they were doing the same tropes of other animes. The MC is literally the most annoying MC I've ever seen in my life, Kasumiagoka is just tits and nothing more, Eriri Sawamura Spencer is a shitty tsundere, Michiru is cute, but way too liberal in terms of body exposition, the most ironical thing here is that the boring character Megumi Katou is actually the best character.
-Mahoutsukai no Yome: Nice visuals, but the blandest cast I've ever seen in my life, there's no sense of direction nor development of the personalities of the characters.
