i dont hate chinese anime, audio language might be needed some time to get used but its not an issue at all for me, similar like watching an anime that being dub with my local language or english dub are kind of weird compare to watching them with its original japanese language. but most of the time that make me drop many chinese anime is because their final result that kind of half asses, can it be from the animation quality itself (more like watching a stop motion with low frame per second or it have stiff movement animation) or the story that blatantly a copy of other work but with much lower quality than the original. |

I thoroughly enjoyed The King's Avatar and thought that the Master Jiang and the Six Kingdoms trailer was great. Not a fan of the general artstyle and color palette of Chinese Donghua, but it's not a dealbreaker for me. |

I dislike Chinese anime, but it's something political. I dislike China for being disrespectful to the autonomy and the constitution of Hong Kong and their policy to unify Hong Kong. One of their strategy is to attack our culture, by forcing more mandarin and simplified Chinese in Hong Kong through our puppet government. This made me grow resistance towards mandarin. Since I dislike mandarin, I will have a hard time watching Chinese anime. |

I don't dislike Chinese anime but some things about it dives me up a wall 1.Most of the times its always about an underdog who is actually OP (note I like OP characters but they way they do it is a bit irritating) 2.The villains are mainly bullies noting more or less most of the time they have no goals or aspiration they are just one dimensional characters who like to look down on others and call them trash (their favorite insult maybe its just translated wrong) 3.If its not a modern setting everything is about power levels, highest level etc training is basically meditating the whole battle mechanic is just flashy moves that that comes out of every bodies ass 4.Some people hate the language but for me is the acting the sound like an old kung fu movie 5. 15 mins episode annoys me (personal preference) 6. I am not a feminist/sjw but I can literally count how may time some one tries to rape a female character in a Chinese anime or how they treat them like if they are just there to be a sex object,I am glad the males in Chinese anime dont act like they are frighten of women like the Japanese males in anime do but I think I prefer Japanese because its so irritating to see male characters in Chinese anime acting so rapish towards female characters. |

The only thing I had to get used to for donghua was the voice acting and the seemingly blazing-fast speed at which the subtitles go by. That's probably more the fault of the subbers though. |

I just have a hard time supporting anything that comes out of that particular country, to be honest. It's not like the Japanese have a squeaky clean historical record but, for the most part, they have mended their ways. It's already hard enough when everything seems to be "Made in China". If I can avoid a Chinese product, I normally will. Even entertainment. |

Yes I dislike them. A lot of times they have chinese names and chinese dub - which I don't like. I'm just to used to the japanese names and dub - which sounds more beautiful. So since there are a lot of great japanese anime I just watch them. Would only be a problem if there was some super duper great unique plot you could not find in any japanese anime - if I missed that because of those reasons. But I never heard of such hyped anime in the top lists. |

I've watched a couple of Chinese anime in my lifetime. In my opinion, the overall quality of Chinese anime just doesn't match Japanese anime. The characters, stories, soundtracks and especially the voice acting in Japanese anime is of a much higher quality. |

Chinese are trying hard to build their own anime industry, craft their styles to be different from Japanese... But they didn't realise Japanese anime seems to be operating base on certain logic drawings... Any different changes seems to make Chinese anime look like deformed styles... Next, for past 30years, focus mainly on building economy, China didn't spend time promote its own soft culture (provided if they still left any after the Cultural Revolutions)... Solution: CCP must setup a cultural department to promote and encourage citizens to adopt and behave like First World Citizens |

I liked Quanzhi Gaoshou (The King's Avatar), both the animated and live action adaptions. My only pet peeve about Chinese animations is that - looking at the trailers - I'm not fond of their particular art style. Something about the linework, the eyes, the way the hair is drawn, the way it's colored. |

The industry is in its infancy so there's not a lot of good ones yet, but I watched the two biggest most popular ones (the gaming one and the three kingdoms one) and they were both really fun. At some point I'd like to watch a few more, I hope their anime industry keeps on growing. |

Most people avoid Chinese anime/manhua for the same reason they avoid old anime. It's outside of their comfort zone. Sure, the detail are different from each other. Old anime are avoided because people are not use to the art style or lack of pretty color while for Chinese anime, it's because it's not Japanese. However, the reason why they avoid different art style or anime from different culture are both the same,it's not their comfort zone. |

I wouldn't say it's disliked at all. MDZS was within the top three airing anime last season and is highly rated overall. Now I know that is just that show but saying Chinese animation is disliked is a rather far fetched generalization. Dislikes: Bad romance, too much fanservice, the harem genre, yuri, yaoi, and bad writing. |

Firstly, I'm Chinese so lol. It's not a language barrier for me. More like a "I just don't like watching it" because of several reasons. I don't like them. Same with Korean animated shows and comics. Pretty much what this person said: Stripes said: Many of them are trying to emulate Japanese Anime instead of setting their own style and stories to the anime medium. And they come off as cheap and poor. The only on I've seen be pretty damn good is Quanzhi Gaoshou which is about an adult esport player going into retirement and overthrowing the system. Something that's big in the Chinese scene and very rare for the Nippon to do is a more adult story. Usually feels like anime rip offs. I also dislike Chinese dubs, they always sound so off to me. I don't like the Northern Chinese accent which is what most of them use. Chinese voice actors also sound alike to each other. Compared to Japanese voice acting, it's lower tier in skill. Also I'll mention I don't like King's Avatar. I even tried to watch the drama. Many of the Chinese animation I've watched usually end on cliffhangers and the rest is available on the manhua which is annoying. At least Japanese anime try to end it when it's incomplete. |

just for me, anime origin in japanese dub. if chinese anime could make it japanese dub then i'm ok with it. i seen chinese animation is good then the chinese dub make it fail.. i love anime cause of japanese original dub and they are really good at it. if u ask someone about anime they know its japanese. just saying man, if they like to improve then using japanese voice actor. |

All I have seen from Chinese anime are movies, because they tend to have really nice animation that’s amazing to witness(since they are high budgeted features). The story and characters always tend to range from really mediocre to passable.I don’t know what it is about chinese anime that just feels so different from Japanese anime in stroytellling. |
