| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- First episode preaired today. (on d Anime Store) https://twitter.com/ten_sura_anime/status/1046385908197470210 So the MC gets stabbed and killed from the first episode in public. Ouch. He wakes up in this other world as a slime. I'm going to have to get used to his voice honestly. It was pretty amusing to watch his behavior and he encounters a dragon already in this episode. Pretty much an introductory first episode. The last scene ended with computer equipment thrown into the bathtub lol |

| Good start, an exposition episode to begin with, he basically gets his powers handed to him. The animation was damn nice, production quality seems to be high. |
| 37 years without a girlfriend? I wonder why... Even if he wasn't proactive, he seemed like a pretty decent guy. Tbh I expected the first episode to cover more material, but considering this is gonna be 24 episodes, I guess I shouldn't be surprised with the pacing. Overall, this episode gives me hope that 8bit might be able to make something out of the mediocre material that they are adapting. But then again, this is just the first episode, so there is a possibility the quality will drop in the following episodes. |

| It started out like a typical isekai with the MC, of course, dying, but the rest of the time was actually somewhat different than what we normally see from these shows. Usually the MC will automatically run into a couple girls from his eventual harem, but no, this dude turns into a slime and meets a dragon lol. And as expected, this premiere spent its time explaining the world mechanics and how things work. Not a bad start, and hopefully the action in the OP (played as the ED) translates to the actual show, as this could make for a pretty decent action anime. |

| Quite the dramatic sequence to start the series with. But running into a passing robber how unlucky. His alt self sure gained a crazy amount of skills though. The predator ability sure is proving to be pretty useful. Being able to feel no damage and also be able to regen as well pretty convenient. But that deal sure proved to be beneficial to both parties as the slime gained sight while the dragon a friend. A pretty strong first episode and a great start to the series. |

| So THIS is a Light Novel adaptation... (tis my first one watched). Well, I didn't induce vomit, so that's good. But seriously though, those post-production effects? The whole thing felt like a bad college film that tries to hide it's 'bad-ness' behind a bunch of wacky visuals. It'll at least be entertaining to see what the official character designs are for whom (I don't look at LN art as a visual reference when I read). I still don't have high hopes for this, just going off of the content I know from the LN. It has that LN trope of an insufferably boring cast. I could hardly recognize anyone other than the MC and Best Girl in the opening sequence, so that's another testament to the boring cast thing. |

| Looks like this would be another rare entry of a great Isekai show. The premises is unlike all I've seen before so far, plus the animation quality is very good. According to the ED we could expect some great combat animation too, which is kind of rare for recent anime that's not Jump/ Titan. Doesn't look like a cheap Isekai series, considering the source is pretty popular. Also, that Tsundere dragon is very adorable :P |
| Well that was a pretty damn funny first episode. The first half as he changed from human to slime was odd but interesting (I'm also curious about how exactly that whole sequence ended up happening with the disembodied voice giving him the powers, but I feel like the dragon kinda explained it and that more details will come later), and the dragon proving to be a tsundere was a hilarious moment. I also liked the little visual gags with our slimey protagonist growing a question mark, exclamation mark and what have you as he reacted to certain things throughout the episode. My only complaint is that they spoiled that he eventually takes on (or at least becomes able to take on) a human form, partially because this slightly defeats the purpose but also because I had no idea that would end up happening (it would be very obvious if you had much if any familiarity with the series, but I didn't so that caught me by surprise and I would have preferred seeing it when the show actually revealed it). |

| That's pretty entertaining introductory start. We've got some introduction to nature of that that world and nature of the MC's slime body. The studio is playing fun with the animation, like the MC falling down in stairs, lol. Looking forward to more comical convo of Tsundoragon and Slime MC. |

I couldnt compose myself on my chair in the beginning (also it was hilarious so i was laughing most of the time lol) Especially hats off to the voice actor. OMg that great. Just hearing Rimuru's voice is more than enough for self-completion lol. ANd wow what is this? ACTUALLY a 1-1 adaptation? I cant even complain anywhere? it was that perfect i dont even think what could be done better. They didnt skip anything wowwww. | Ha, his shock face makes him look a bit like Calcifer. So far things seem to be going a lot better than "So I'm a Spider, So What?" was early on. Glad this has 24 episodes. | I wasn't a fan of this. He accepted his situation so quickly and i just don't like the main character. Just really bland and boring and being re-incarnated as a slime didn't change that part of him for me. Looks like he's in a generic world that runs on video game logic too. Dropped this one, hopefully the spider one will be better. |
| My impressions (I've read the manga adaption): Eh, it was passable. Nothing much to say. My bf's impressions (going in blind): Incredibly boring, the whole episode was just a huge exposition dump. It's not often that I see my bf dislike a show this much. I was pretty surprised. So yeah, looks like if you're already invested, you probably aren't gonna hate it, but it's a bad way to introduce new people to the series. |

| This will probably be the third (or fourth if you consider Drifters an isekai) isekai anime that I'll actually keep watching. Not amazing, but I like it so far. |
