There are plenty of interactions between them throughout the story. It's just that the anime cuts out almost all characterisation of these new world characters. There's also plenty of scenes of new world characters talking about the monsters of nazarick either being super scared or being too full of themselves. Aside from that the LN is obviously much further into the story so it has more such scenes to begin with :3

Those lua files I need to meddle with are basically just configuration files used by the game though :3

Lua is mostly used for configuration stuff defining lots of variables and sometimes a function. The real scripting of things like new abilities and the like happens in SCAR code. The AI has .ai files but iirc that's scar as well :3
Regular things like defining new units and what they can do and what not is determined in the modding software which saves special files :3

Yes you could, but the taxi bill would be far far higher than the entry fee xD

I for example once made one of the units really really weak in both armor and health allowing them to be killed very quickly. In exchange for that weakness you could build them without a max limit as long as you had resources and their main weapon while dealing very little damage had quite a long range and would have a knockback effect that launches enemies all across the map... that last part was so OP that even just 3 of them would render an entire army invalid xD

Because just like before I'm using laravel homestead. Homestead is essentially an easy to setup nginx server running on virtualbox and vagrant. It synchronizes files so I can keep developing like normal without needing to worry about VMs and god knows what. Without NFS however a request that would normally take 80ms will take 800ms :3

I'm not involved enough in the process to know what the other groups are doing, but I do know what kind of theme our wagon will have so I'm interested in seeing what kind of reaction you'll have when seeing it >:3

Well it allows you to test what it would run like on a server and gives you access to things like nginx configuration and what not too. I could also do it using lamp for example, but that means I would have to polute my whole system with all kinds of packages and background processes ^^

Well considering I'm still using it without any issues I'd assume so, yes. It's more like semi-rolling though unlike straight up arch. You still get the latest and greatest like on arch, but they test stuff out extensively beforehand releasing updates in batches. Oftentimes the main batches can be over 150 or even over 250 patches including kernel updates and everything xD
