As someone who watched season 1 and skipped season 2 because most of it was non-canon, and from what I heard jsut sucked. I thought re could finally tell me why people like this series so much. Sadly...it has done the opposite. I am not aware of all the manga chapters besides the genre change.

Now here is my major issue that even :Re hasn't bother to fix. It tries to be moral gray, but still ends up being black and white. Season tried to make the Ghouls seem like the babyfaces being pick on by the mean police but at the same time tried to show me that the some ghouls are super fucked up. Even though there is a scence of one of the Doves picking on a ghoul mother who doesn't like fighting and then same Dove member going after a little girl who doesn't fight all because she is a ghoul. I'm like, "Is this suppose to be moral gray or is everyone a dick?"

Fast forward to season 1 and our main dude is now with the Doves. I'm like, "What the hell? did I miss something?" Granted this kind of has been explained later on. Still little odd, but more important we are getting piss por moral gray. This time in reverse. They want me to root for the Doves when not only did season 1 establish they are kind of assholes. The Doves we have met so far besides Junzo are either annoying or fucking stupid idiots chasing glory than justice. They want to make you know the ghouls are in the wrong as they have gone out of their way to make all the ghouls evil. I'm like, "Uh...what?" Throw in how I think the CCG or Doves are hypocritical to let half ghouls on the force just so they could have a fighting chance with the ghouls. I'm left thinking to myself, "Man a lot has happened and somehow this sucks even more."

P.S.

I still don't got an idea of any of these weapons and powers they have as they don't explain anything or the differences.

All I can tell you is that you should go read Tokyo Ghoul Part 1 which ended in chapter 143!
And you'll understand everything, I know for sure that you will have a great time reading a great manga like Tokyo Ghoul.

everyone hates the ghouls, so a special task force was established, as fate would have it science took an even darker turn resulting in gene splicing and parking things. basically we got a "sleeper cell" waiting to be awoken. skipping a season, even if it might have sucked, could have been the point behind the confusion. it sorts of help not to skip, that could be why you're confused, just saying.

TG is a sister to Attack on Titan in regards to the death, gore and monsters created by science and/or a freak of science with nature stepping in to twist the fate even further.

as for the weapons in TG, they are, as stated in the first bracket, they are part of the gene splicing, that was discussed in the first few episodes of season 3 in contrast to like a recap and catching us up from season 2, whereas they are sneaking season 1 in now with recaps and revisits with old friends. perhaps season 2 of TG:RE will go even further into detail regarding seasonal ghouls. like some series, there can be too many people in the scene and they can't focus enough so they sort of go into directions they shouldn't or they'll bring about a filler that either throws someone off, or is pointless completely. there's also the notion to go read the spoilers at least for season 2 so you're not entirely lost with the series.

I may give season 2 a look even if only half of the eps are canon.

If you're really interested in a better understanding of the events, character motives etc. then you should go and read the manga. Season one was just an entertaining action/thriller,the source has more to offer, but they skipped tons of important dialogues and monologues which were necessary to make things clearer.

One Piece episode 914 & 915 & 1027 were a mistake and 957 brought the salvation - FMmatron

I still remember the part where the CCG was using regular guns to kill ghoul. I was like, "Uh, what?" Man I feel bad for the creator he has to deal with a studio that just sucks.
