 This year's June issue of Dessert magazine has released a special chapter for the Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun manga series with four full color pages. The actor and actress of the live-action movie are also featured on the magazine's cover page to commemorate the premiere.Robico serialized the manga series in Dessert magazine from August 2008 to November 2013. A total of 13 volumes have been released. The manga received a TV anime adaptation by studio Brains Base and broadcast in Fall 2012 for total of 13 episodes with one OVA. The live-action movie will premiere in Japanese theaters on April 27 featuring Masaki Suda and Tao Tsuchiya as the main characters.
