 Studio Deen has launched an official website and Twitter account for an anime series based on Yichun Jun's web manhua Aguu. Titled Aguu: Genius Dolls, this project will be the Studio Deen's second creation with the Chinese studio Tencent Animation, with the first being Reikenzan: Hoshikuzu-tachi no Utage.Aguu was first published on the Tencent Comic website in 2014 and has had more than 9.5 billion views. The series is about a missing genius whose mysterious disappearance becomes a shady secret among the successful members of society. | I mean yeah there are a lot of great Chinese works out there that deserve adaptations. I can name over a dozen off the top of my head. But I'm mildly curious to see how this turns out. I mean it's fairly popular for sure, I think that view count gives that away. For better or worse I want to see how this turns out. The character designs from that poster does make for an interesting watch at least for me. |
