One Punch Man makes a joke of how Saitama has no idea how to train Genos. I believe the answer is obvious. Genos should try to understand how augmentations work. This would be beneficial in a number of ways. For one, he could use his knowledge of his body during combat, such as where his most vital components and most durable components are situated. And secondly, by knowing of how he works, he'd be far more equipped to figure out how to improve, because Saitama is quite clearly useless.

The alternative solution would be to engage in as many battles as possible, to develop mental shortcuts speeding up his reflexes and also improve his ability to strategise. In this way Saitama is training him effectively, because in each battle Genos is given a safety net to experiment and learn from his mistakes.

What do you think?

I think that OPM is just a parody of battle shounens, and such should not have any deeper thoughts in it.

I thought deeply on the looming undercurrent of nihilism in Mahoujin Guruguru (2017). One Punch Man is more prime for analysis in comparison, and my philosophy is far more confined to the world of the story.

Ahah okey sorry I didn't check your profile but yea the manga has almost cought up to the webcomic and so far genos did get a power up from time to time but in terms of fighting techniques he didn't really develop anything new even tho some people speculate that he tryed to imitate saitamas death punch when he fought sonic but genos is still overconfident and gets destroyed rather easily but his firepower has increased quite a lot.
But he did definetly adjust based on the fights he lost earlyer just look at what he did with his arm when fighting Garou.
