| Yes, I was pissed off at Yukki from Mirai Nikki for at least 90% of the show. Regardless, I finished it because I was more interested in the development of the other characters. I remember dropping Haruhi Suzimiya after like 3 episodes because she was unbearable for me. So I guess if other characters in the show are enjoyable, I can still watch it. |

| Pretty much but it happens rarely. The two main guys in boku no hero academia I find annoying. I liked the girl though. The MC in eureka seven is dense at times and makes it difficult to finish. Even if it gets better, it's a long series. I like most MCs minus the generic ones. |

| It can, for sure. But I'm just surprised what a guilty pleasure Aesthetica of a Rogue Hero was for me despite thinking the main character was a total douchebag from start to finish. |
| Depends how main they are. Both Izaya and Mikado are pretty main, though you don't see them ALL the time (didn't like neither). |

| I dislike most male MC in action shonen or harem series, and it generally doesn't ruin the show, as long as the other characters are OK. The only MC that was close to ruin a show for me was Shirou, I found him so annoying that it was hard to keep on watching Fate/Stay Night. |
| It depends on how often an MC will interact with side characters. I don't like Naruto's design so it probably kept me from the show as a whole. Same for One Punch Man. I know, not a popular opinion but whatever. |

| Yes, if I dislike the MC enough then I’ll probably dislike the show. Where’s the pleasure of following the story that probably revolves around them a lot, if you could care less about them or even outright dislike them? |
| Even if my dislike for the MC is overwhelming I would still watch the series for the story or side characters. However if it becomes unbearable the only option is to call quits right? |
