  The official website for Made in Abyss TV anime has announced that there will be a two-part recap movie. Titled Tabidachi no Yoake and Hourou suru Tasogare, both movies will premiere in Japanese theaters this winter. Additionally, it was announced that previously announced anime sequel will be "new episode" for the anime series. Made in Abyss is based on the manga by Akihito Tsukushi which has been serialized in Web Comic Gamma since October 2012. The series currently has six compiled volumes in print, with its latest released in July 2017. Animated by Kinema Citrus, the adaptation aired in Summer 2017 for 13 episodes. Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the manga for North American release and released the first volume on January 23. The anime series one of the works that previously awarded for 21st Japan Media Arts Festival Award for Judge Recommendation last Friday. | Ooooooh so the supposed “2nd season” is actually just a new episode.... At this point I would be more than immensely dissapointed, but the recap movies DOES make it feel like they’re gathering extra funds and allowing the source to go ahead. I hope that new episode is atleast 1 hr long, but probs not. |

| @Infatuate If it's with "s" at the end, it would just say either TV series or OVA series. It is エピソード, episode written in Katakana, so it's usually one. |
