The 12th 2018 issue of Big Comic Spirits has announced that Jun Mayuzuki's Koi wa Ameagari no You ni manga will end in two chapters. The final chapter will be published in the magazine's 15th issue, which will ship on March 12.

The award-winning series initially began serialization monthly in Gekkan! Spirits in 2014, and then moved to weekly publication in 2016, with its ninth compiled volume was released on November 10 last year. The manga won the 63rd Shougakukan Manga Awards, was ranked 7th in the ninth edition of Manga Taisho, and was rated the 4th top series among male readers in the "Kono Manga ga Sugoi!" 2016 rankings.

A 12-episode TV anime adaptation by Wit Studio is currently airing, which is being simulcast by Amazon Prime Video.

I think a second season would be needed if they decide to adapt the whole manga that is.
Anyway didn't expect it to end this soon, hopefully the ending will be a good one!

The ending will be interesting to see tbh, and I think it will resolve the main issues of the two characters and end it there. At least that's what it feels like.

Obviously the anime won't be able to catch the ending in a single cour unless it skips quite a lot of content. I thought the anime was going to give the manga a lot of boost on top of its already remarkable popularity but I like it when the serialization is not dragged on and is ended while it's in a good standing.

It could end abruptly. I am not sure if it will have enough time to resolve the whole story.

If you look on Amazon it's listed as "Summer Rains" and has apparently been picked up by Vertical for a September release.

That sounds so strange. It got axed ?

It felt like there were still so many things to tell.

It's hard to believe.

What!? It seems kinda soon for the ending. I haven't read the manga but I do watch the show and I was snooping around in the manga discussion threads of the recent chapters and the manga wasn't showing any signs of ending according to the people there

Having read 79 chapters, I can tell you guys that it felt as if an ending was closing in. A lot of things have happened since chapter 50... (most recent english translation)

EDIT: OK, now that I read chapter 80 I can really feel the ending coming in now...

So this is going to end at chapter 82... I feel really sad now... This is one of of my favourite manga

No. Don't think it got axed. But looking back at what I read so far there were some hints that this was going to end.

I just don't hope that the anime will skip a lot of content just to adapt the conclusion of the story in this season.

Rather want to have a second season, even if chances are slim.

One way or the other, guess I pick up the manga, the anime is pretty awesome.

i think their focus is the character developmen and overcome their insecurity rather than romance it self... seems so...

Hopefully the anime gets a second season, I've really been enjoying it.

At the very least, I don't want the first season to have some nonsensical, rushed ending.

I assume the anime won't cover the entire manga. When it ends, do you think the anime would be able to skip a bunch of chapters and get straight to the manga's ending? I really wouldn't want it to be rushed and I'm scared that it might be for that purpose.

If I'm not mistaken, I think episode 6 adapted chapter 19-22 so the anime covered 3 volumes so far.

I'm impressed by the adaptation so far.

There's still a lot of chapters to adapt but from what I've seen so far, it definitely lived up to my expectations.

That would be a disaster. I would prefer a second season. Skipping that much content just wouldn't make sense.

Yet another manga I really like coming to wraps. I hope that it at least manages to get a conclusive ending.
