| A rule should be that one can't nominate him/herself.. Interviews are done because people want to know more about different subject and such. This all reminds me of the a scene in Pirates of the Caribbian 3: |

It's not like we're trying to a run a tight ship, we just want to conduct interviews with people - give them a stage to talk about themselves at length and let other people get to know them, so on and so forth. Though, with me at least - you still have to get chosen by a staff member to get an interview, and this thread is primarily to let us know who people want to see get an interview in that decision making process - people with only a self-nomination tend to be given less priority. There's only one time I've done somebody who's only nomination was a self-nomination and that was because I was planning to get to him because he'd been around the site for a while, and some extraordinary stances came up for him due to hurricanes and stuff so I went ahead with that in case. |
