| Just stumbled on this anime by chance, and noticed it has no forum discussion yet. This is an original, so I guess everyone's going in blind. I'm guessing this will be a shoujo/slice of life/comedy anime. No shounen ai has been suggested as of yet, though I expect the shippings will write themselves. And well, it probably won't actually get listed as a "shoujo" because it's got a male protagonist, though this is clearly the target demographic. I honestly haven't gone for shows like this before. I've seen plenty of "cute girls" anime, but never a "cute boys" anime. I've never been interested in those male idol/harem anime (like Maji Love and Brothers Conflict), but the slice of life/comedy focus makes me more open to this kind of anime. It might be funny, or it might just pander to the appeal of having pretty boys doing cute things. My enjoyment will probably depend on how wacky they go with it, but honestly the trailer doesn't suggest much comedy focus. I guess we'll find out! |
I'm curious as well. If it turns out like Starmyu (slice of life/drama with no romance), then I'll be happy. I'm just hoping it won't be Otome, though it doesn't look like it would be since there's no heroine shown. I also highly doubt it will be shounen-ai/BL/Yaoi (as much as I like it), because otherwise they'd show something obvious like guys as couples, caressing or at least gazing at each other on the cover poster. This looks like a friends group. This looks/sounds like it'll be something innocent and light-hearted. Definitely going to try it out since it's still pretty rare to find such anime with cute boys that isn't Otome genre. |

| If the purpose (aside to make $) is to self-promote Sanrio (making $ anyway), then my shipping expectations will be of the boys with other Sanrio related 'stuffed' personalities of the last 3 or 4 decades. Expecting this one to be for younger audiences. |
