| the 2nd pic is definitely close to the real reasons why some people prefer 2D. It might be 95%(insert random subjective number) less rewarding than the optimal rl relationship because it's, well, not real, but it's 1000% easier to maintain and depending on the person 100% more likely to happen at all - so that's the appeal. I don't doubt some people are serious about it in that sense. But if people thought both were equally likely/easy I can't imagine many people seriously preferring 2D. |

| I don't think many people are actually serious. Most of them are just memeing. Some of them really do think that, and can you really blame them? Real life relationships are not only a hassle to find, but also a hassle to maintain. With 2D girls, you obviously don't have to worry about that. You also don't have to worry about if you're ugly, fat, short, have a small dick, work a shitty job, drive a 20 year old car, etc. Any kind of shortcomings you have would be irrelevant. You wouldn't have to fit a girl's unrealistic standards. When you sit back and really think about it, it's easy to see why some people genuinely believe in 2D>3D. |
