Voting format: Vote: Username (bolded) - any other format will not count as a vote. Tied votes should result in: no lynch. Role madness?: YES. Bastard elements: YES: this game contains bastard elements. This means that the game may contain, but not guaranteed, the following: moderator lies in role PMs or posts, unrevealed hidden or significantly game changing mechanics, and vote modifiers. I would recommend to only join this game if you have decent experience with forum mafia; however, for instance, this is probably not the kind of game you'd want to count in your "serious game statistics," as the setup might not suggest an essentially traditional mafia-like environment. Moreover, this setup is quite experimental and could possibly not be balanced. Win conditions: Town: eliminate all threats. Mafia: reach a gamestate where you cannot all possibly be eliminated. Third-party: (if applicable) hidden.   1. Do not reveal your role by the use of screenshots, quoting my PMs or other similar means. Of course, you are free to pretend to be a role you're not or try to explain to everyone your role and hope they listen. If you're ever unsure about what you can and cannot say, run it by a host first. 2. Be active! The roles require everyone to be participating. If you fail to be active and don't contribute to the lynching discussion properly, you might be disqualified for idling. 3. Voting during day phase is NOT MANDATORY. Regardless of the number of votes, the most voted player will die. If you fail to submit your actions at night, they will not be randomized for you. If a host is not present at the exact time for the phase change, every action or vote submitted after the official deadline will not be counted. 4. CorruptedPurity and Mishukax are the moderators of this game and what they say goes. 5. If you are going to be away from MAL, I unfortunately cannot assure you that you will live through your absence. If people lynch you or kill you while you are not present, it's their choice and nothing can be done, otherwise it will corrupt the game. If you're certain to be away for too long, ask to be replaced by a player on the waitlist. If you fail to submit at least 5 (relatively) constructive posts during a day phase, you will receive a warning. If it happens again, you will be replaced. 6. Personal insults will not be tolerated. Please know that playstyles can change depending on the circumstances and role of a player, so do not assume anything personal during the course of this game. If you ever have a problem with another player, message a host. 7. Do not use any external communications (personal messages, instant messenger, etc.) to discuss the game. Everything must be said in this thread. If someone sends you a message about the game, screenshot it and PM a host immediately. Mafia (and other special roles, if applicable) may communicate in their designated secret club during the night phase. 8. All night actions and questions regarding the game should be sent to Mishukax. Anyone can arbitrarily update the lynching vote count, but it will always be verified by a host. 9. Play to your win condition. 10. Do not edit nor delete posts you have made. Correcting confusing typos is fine. 11. You are advised not to take notes on the game in any place within MAL. There is a risk of quoting/tagging players, resulting in sending them alerts. If you are a mafia, be very careful about this in your secret club chat, as it could send clues. 12. Follow the site & forum guidelines.  The game will have 12 slots themed after the Major Arcana. Since there are 22 cards in the Major Arcana, this means that some of them will not be in play.
