| It is just quality and improvements. That is why most anime have like meme like animations since most of the time they are fixing them on the bd version. |

Take DB Super for an example. They sometimes redo the entire scene as well. |

| BD is going to have polished animation/fixed errors and even uncensoring for non-ecchi shows (blood/gore, sometimes the rare occurrence of nipples in a non-ecchi). |

| blueray may contain extra content /running time. highschool dxd tv: 24 minutes/epsiode, bluray: 26 minutes/episode. I don't know how often it is like that, DxD happens to be the only show where I had the comparison - German tv showed bluray version, downloaded episodes were tv-version. |
