The quiz didn't help me figure out what I want.
I didn't like the questions it asked because it mixed a couple together. I couldn't really figure out if I should say 'yes' or 'no'. For example, "I'm very ambitious, persuasive, and love coming up with my own ideas." Well, I love coming up with my own ideas, but I'm not very ambitious or persuasive.
Another example: "I like to work with my hands and be outdoors." Well that's also tough to say. I like hands on jobs, but not construction kind of work. I don't want to be constantly putting sunscreen or bug repellent on in the future.

Plus, 26 questions isn't enough to get a handle on what you should major in. They should have asked more questions or at least separated a few to make two. "I'm good with numbers and am detail-oriented." Why not, "I'm good with numbers." And then "I am a detail-oriented person"?

Overall, the quiz needs some work.

Kinda hilarious since I hate Spanish, Music, English, & Writing classes.
Then again I answered 'no' to like every single question except 2 or 3.
The only major I ever actually liked was History and I'm not particularly passionate about it.

3. English (Well, my major is foreign language not my native language (I assumed English = Native language since english is not my native))
4. Nursing (Uhh, yeah, I had wished to be a doctor actually, not nurse)
5. Art (More like my passion here)

I think the quiz isn't too bad.

Generally speaking you should always try to get a degree in something that will almost guarantee you a job and with high pay.

So that means staying away from creative degrees. Those can wait until you're financially stable.

Top 5:

1. Sustainability Studies (My dream has always been to get out of my cave. In other words, to visit more places outside my home. I never had the chance to join the boy scouts or any other organization that gives kids a head start to nature. It's a long story on why I never had the chance to join the boy scouts.)
2. Molecular Biology/Biochemistry (I did well on my biology and physiology classes last year. So why not give it another try?)
3. Nursing (The closest profession to my current major.)
4. Bible and Religion (Not interested in it.)
5. Chemistry (It was the hardest subject I took in high school and yet I managed to make an A- on it.)

My major right now is Psychology. I guess I chose the wrong major. It's too late now that I'm about to graduate next year.

Mine were perfectly true. Surprisingly so; I considered this a slight waste of time at first, thinking there was no way it would reliably predict what my potential majors would be.

1. Molecular Biology/Biochemistry
2. Computer Science
3. Mathematics
4. Informatics
5. Information Technology

I'm interested in developing a "full-dive" VR system. Literally all of those apply and can be put to work toward that end. Quite the interesting quiz.

There's nothing wrong with being creative, but being financially stable is just that important of a priority.

There are lots of people who go for creative degrees but end up working crappy and unrelated jobs after their college years. You just have to do your research and play it safe.

This quiz is just...where do I begin.

A lot of these questions have "paired" statements which I cannot fully agree to or disagree to because they seem to assume that because you are one thing, you are automatically the other thing.

Example: "I enjoy science and helping people". I enjoy helping people, but I do not enjoy science.

Another example: "I enjoy working with people, and I have strong verbal and written communication skills." I do not really enjoy working with people, but I do have strong written communication skills in the form of technical writing and the like.

Yet another example: "I enjoy working with my hands and being outdoors." There are tons of things that involve working with your hands and not being outdoors, nor do you have to like being outdoors in order to work with your hands. Welding doesn't really require you to work "outdoors" and neither do things like pottery or sculpture. Technically, Sign Language is also "working with your hands" and you use that literally everywhere in order to speak.

If I say "no" because one aspect doesn't fit me, it's assuming I'm not interested in the thing that does, and if I say "yes" despite one aspect not fitting me it'll assume I'm interested in something I'm not.

Things To Keep In Mind:
  • You shut your mouth when you're talking to me.
  • My thirst for anything humanoid (and legal) cannot be contained.

I've done my research and I'm aware of what I want to major in, but I doubt my skills a lot. Engineering/Computer Science/Math/STEM in general have high paying jobs and they typically don't leave a lot of debt, along with medicine and logistis degrees. However, I also like to draw, but I wouldn't want to major in art because that stuff can be self taught mostly.

Molecular Biology/Biochemistry
Secondary Education
Nursing
Social Work
Psychology

My job is basically a mix of nursing, social work, and psychology so it works out. I majored in human biology anyway so #1 is accurate enough. And I do want to teach eventually, just not high school kids tho - which they should've picked up on when I said I don't like working with kids... lol

OP, are you from the area of Goshen college? It is around an hour away from me
But seeing as Goshen college is very small, this relates just to what they have and is not very encompassing of most colleges. I am about to graduate with a degree in Supply Chain Analytics and Goshen college does not have that nor did these questions imply much about certain skills necessary for degrees that wouldn’t be found at only liberal arts colleges.
