i think Yamase feels something for Settie. 1. Yamase's appearance outside the school grounds in earlier episodes give me reason to believe that Yamase is the driving force for having Settie return to gang life. 2. Settie forgetting to buy cheese for Yamase induced a level of rage that was mist likely a personal offense- prob due to a deep fear of being forgotten by Settie. 3. Yamase didn't direct violence towards Settie, but chose a fellow gang member instead. |

If its in japan(age of consent is 13) its not pedo, even in my country china they're past age of consent(14), so not pedo. So idk why you force ur own country age of consent when watching this. But its ur opinion, I wont bother with it again. Yeah you too and sorry if one of my post sound a bit rude.livexevil said: TheAwkward-Otaku said: God, just because it's not fit in western culture your not okay with it? As asian I don't find it bothering at all, whats the matter with only 12 yo age gap different?? as long they're in past of age consent why not?? They can choose what they want, if the law says their age are legal then its already legal you can't change it unless you move on other country, and he choose his own life to dating older man, the point is he's in legal age to do what he want, past of age consent so not pedo, they both love each other, so what's the prob?livexevil said: TheAwkward-Otaku said: so you asking my opinion right? im okay with the age gap as long its not bellow the age consent(13) and 15/16yo at japan is already legal so why tf not? It's not western, they're in japan. They're legal and past the age of consent so it's not pedo to me. I'm not okay with rape or incest things.livexevil said: TheAwkward-Otaku said: "but yet" is like you still saying rape is okay and tolareable as long they're the same age....when kousuke kissing settie did it forcefull like hasekura does?(even kensuke bited him and force him away but settie not doing anything) and for breaking his house did you even try to know their situation?why he do that? It's not like he doing that to pinned him to bed and sexually attack him lol. livexevil said: TheAwkward-Otaku said: well, I found hasekura x kensuke more cringey despite they're the same age because of the rapey things..hasekura actually raped/forced himself on kensuke so many times in the manga even after they're dating its still have the rapey vibe because of hasekura personality..and I prefer the kousettie romance(despite the age gap and they're teacher & student) but kousuke never "raped" settie like hasekura does to kensuke. Even they're minor but 15yo/16yo already legal in japan tho, they can married. If you dont like romance with age gap you should drop it from ep 4, they're already hint it from the start and Kousuke is 27/28yo not 30.livexevil said: TheAwkward-Otaku said: Hitorijime my hero is about Kousuke x settie, they're the main couple...Hasekura x kensuke only the side pairing in my hero. If you want to focus only hasekura x kensuke pair, just like you say you start hitorijime my hero for them, then you can read "hitorijime boyfriend" ...theres no kousettie romance/teacher x student romance.. only hasekura x kensuke there and see if you find their relationship more healthy than kousettie....livexevil said: TheAwkward-Otaku said: lol what do you expect from this anime?if you find it uncomfortable to see teacher going after his student, then you should drop it from the start, this story it's about teacher x student romance from the beggining...you should read the description. Damn. This episode was terrible, in all honesty. I might be a singular thought here, but the idea of seeing Kousuke; a man in nearly his 30's going after a teenager makes me feel uncomfortable. Kousuke is pushing this unhealthy relationship on Settie. Not only was the flow of the episode confusing, the entirety of Kousuke's actions were strange. Breaking and entering, pinning him down? This could easily be sexual assault, but, hey! I've been uneasy with the relationship between the two since the beginning. I honestly expected more from a shounen-ai anime that looked promising. Might drop it if more of this pedophilia nonsense continues. Honestly i dont get ppl(I've seen few ppl) who watching this and still hoping theres no romance between kousuke and settie or dont want to watch teacher x student romance, when this show is about their romance...it's like you know your watching a show with ecchi/harem tag but you still complained about it for being too ecchi, "why this have soo many fanservice??" or you hate show with gore thing but you still watch and complain about it later for being gore lol I expected a shounen-ai with potential. I originally started watching Hitorijime for the romance between Hasekura and Kensuke, not for Kousuke and Settie. Honestly, the first 3 episodes looked promising (excluding all the moments between the other two), now, not as much. Most shounen-ai's follow similar tropes, the unhealthy relationship, a pedophilic relationship, etc. I was hoping this was different, therefore the reason I began to watch it. And what do you expect from show that potraying teacher x student romance?did you expect no pedo? in teacher x student romance theres will be always have the age gap thing, so ofc they're not in the same age(at least settie design is more mature, they're not try to draw him like a fking shota/10yo-12yo). If the next ep you still find it uncomfortable, then this is not for you. Because from the next ep the romance between those two will be start to bloom. Please understand that I had no prior knowledge of Hitojime my Hero before the anime released. Despite the hinting of the first episode, I continued to watch it for the other couple, which I'm aware of what happened in the second episode, in regards to the manga. I simply found those two (Hasekura/Kensuke) to be more fitting for a relationship than the pedophilia; which I see is constantly getting praise although it's wrong. Settie is portrayed maturely, but that in no way changes the fact that he is a minor, and Kousuke is a fully-grown adult in his 30's. My idealogy isnt going to change, and like I've said before, this is a common trope that is followed in multiple animes. As you said, I might drop it. This was something I thought would appeal to me, but I'll see for myself. You say already read the manga, and your bothered with the pedophilia but not bothered by the rape between minor......okay. For fk sake if ppl hate/uncomfortable with the teacher x student things just drop it, it wont change their relationship even if you try to watch a few more episode and hoping theres no romance between those two, this show is always be about their romance. Expecting/hoping no romance in shounen ai show....like wat I actually do condemn this type of behavior with them, and I do understand it's strange, but to note, you said it was cringey for the relationship of Hasekura/Kensuke, noting that they were still minors, yet you say they're legal in Japan? I'm aware that shounen-ai has romance, I'm a fan of shounen-ai; but when it's done right. Here, not so much. I condemn pedophilia and rape, and I'm not saying it's okay for what Hasekura did, but yet; they're the same age. Did Kousuke not force himself to do things that Settie might not be fine with? Such as kissing, and breaking in entering his home? That's ludicrous. I don't expect anything to change with my ideology, but you, forcing others such as myself to accept it and move on is ridiculous. Almost saying I can't give my own opinion, and having to submit to the populous idea. In my opinion, on another note, Hasekura gives off more of a dominent and posessive vibe, more than anything else. But that's just me. (Also it's you're, not your. c;) Ah with hasekura forced himself kissing kensuke 3x times, jerk him off, suck him off, try to do sex even when kensuke says "NO" all the time, thats okay for you and you thought with that kind of action is give hasekura a dominant and posesive vibe?? So thats okay? And I'm not forcing you to accept it, just like you im stated my opinion about it too, only saying if you hate this kind of relationship why must torture urself to continue to watch it, if you bothered just drop it. It's already clear where this relationship will be headed to. Once again, I said I condemned the behavior that Hasekura was taking. Rape in any way isn't okay, and I'm aware of that. Despite, it seems as if you're okay with this pedophilia, hm? Both rape, and pedophilia, I condemn. And with Hasekura's possessive characteristic, I've seen with multiple characters done correctly. Also, the only reason I got that vibe was from his jealousy towards the relationship of Kesuke/Settie, not for any of the other things he's previously done. God, just because it's legal in Japan, you're okay with it? There's a 13 year age difference. In my opinion, that's just terrible. When I've goes to japan 3 years ago to study, and I've friends there that her parent have 9yo age gap difference between her mom and dad. Her mom pregnant her at 16 when his dad is 25, they got married after that and life like a normal person as one happy family. Theres nothing wrong with them. Why tf you make age gap sound like terrible things. When in real life its not becoming a problem if they love each other. Ooh, my apologies for being raised in a Western country where the age of consent is at 18, and I find it uncomfortable to see a teacher and a student in a relationship. Well, sorry, but I won't change my opinion regarding the pedophilia. I must give credit where it's due, though. You've been a rather reasonable person to debate with. I'm not trying to push my own customs on this, I simply find it strange. But, we're different, so I understand. My apologies as well. I'm in Germany. Age of consent here is 14 (in case you were thinking that only Asian countries have lower ages of consent). People, please learn that USA is not the only country on this planet. We find strange that you allow drinking at 21, but allow driving at 16. Sorry, but driving requires much more responsibility than drinking a beer (which is sold in Germany next to Coca Cola btw). But we don't start heated debates saying how wrong and sick this is. Chill out and learn to respect the differences between the cultures. "Your way" is not the only "right way". You say you're not trying to push your own customs on this, but this is exactly what you're doing, by calling this "pedo". You throw a generalized insult towards a lot of normal and healthy relationships, just because it doesn't conform to YOUR standards. Please be more mindful about the people around you. I'm aware of different countries and their customs, but as you can have your own individual opinions, I can have my own. I too believe it's a bit odd to learn how to drive at 15, given lots of teenagers are quite immature. Also, I never started a heated debate, only the people, given yourself, are starting arguments. I simply posted my opinion, as anyone else is. But given I have the minority idea, I get attacked. Lol. If I'm not comfortable with it, whatever. Don't pay attention to me and go on with life. And it isn't my standards, anyways, and if you would've read my last response, you would've seen that I understood our differences and I apologized for any rude statements. But, hey, that doesn't matter to you, right? :) So... basically I just read an entire page of someone shitting on a lot of relationships, including in my family (8 years age-gap and 15 years age-gap and reversed age-gap, where the wife is older than the husband), and I can't post an opinion about it? And you don't call that heated? "Kousuke is pushing this unhealthy relationship on Settie // the unhealthy relationship, a pedophilic relationship // I simply found those two (Hasekura/Kensuke) to be more fitting for a relationship than the pedophilia // Settie is portrayed maturely, but that in no way changes the fact that he is a minor // I condemn pedophilia and rape, and I'm not saying it's okay for what Hasekura did, but yet; they're the same age // God, just because it's legal in Japan, you're okay with it? // I won't change my opinion regarding the pedophilia." Your very condemning words, not mine. All of that was insulting. And I just wanted to point that out. If you post something on a forum, you can expect someone to comment on it even a year or five after that. And what I wrote, as my first post in this, it's not even just opinion. It's facts. Fact: USA is not the only country on this planet. Fact: different countries have different ages of consent. Fact: In a lot of places, age of consent is even lower than what we see in this anime. It's not opinion. It's facts. Apologies accepted, for writing rude statements in every single post on this forum. Better? What actually boggles me in this discussion, is that more people focus on the age gap, and the fact that Settie is a minor in a different country than his own, than on the fact that Kousuke is a teacher. That could mean influence. That could mean abuse of power. Though I'm pretty sure this is not the case here, as they've been shown to be friends before he became a teacher. I really hope we get more backstory. Well, I was actually not shitting on lots of relationships, I was focusing on this one in particular. I have no issues with those types of relationships in reality, given it isn't my problem. There's a 10-year age-gap in my family, but that's probably irrelevant, anyways. In my opinion, most age gap relationships in anime (specifically with yaoi/shounen-ai) are portrayed in a way I don't find comfortable; take Super Lovers as an example. Anyways, it's not my issue if people take offense to my opinions when I just said there are age-gaps in my family too. God, people are so sensitive, I never directed anything towards reality, simply towards those two and some others in anime. But, hey, it's the internet, everyone gets offended by everything. |

Especially when you continue with "Well, sorry, but I won't change my opinion regarding the pedophilia.", when it's not pedophilia, even in the country the anime is taking place in. THIS is what me and others had an issue with. YOU took it out of the context of the anime, and compared it with YOUR mighty country-sama, that doesn't even have anything to do with this anime, calling everything else wrong and pedophilic, without a second thought. |

It wouldn't have been insulting if you kept it inside the anime world. But "God, just because it's legal in Japan, you're okay with it?" and "Ooh, my apologies for being raised in a Western country", which sounds at least sarcastic, if not downright mocking, took it outside of it. The only reason why I stated those two quotes was because the reason why I was uncomfortable with it. I was raised in a Western country where the age of consent is 18. I didn't take it out of context anyway, I never mentioned other countries from the start, only when she mentioned Japan. My apologies, but like I said before, I don't plan on changing my position on my opinion. I'm not going to change my ideology to make a couple people happy, sorry, that's not how I work. Also, don't make it seem as if I'm engrossing myself with my country, because I''m not. I'm only half-American, lol. What is "everything else" on your terms? As far as I'm concerned, I only called relationships that I found unsettling in anime (in this case, Hitorijime my Hero) pedophilia. Nothing more, nothing less. Well, I dunno how much more you're planning on stretching out this nonsensical argument. As I said before, everyone gets offended by everything on the internet. |

MendoxeD said: @TheAwkward-Otaku Bait? Look, we get it. Internet is a wonderful place where you can express your opinions, but please educate yourself before speaking about some issues. First of all, from what I see, you don't know what pedophilia actually is and confuse it to age of consent/being minor. Okay, we get it. You don't like the show, you hate it, but what is the point of arguing on over it? At least learn to express your opinion and criticize something based on valid facts, not just attacking anyone who points out the flaws in your arguments. On topic: Did he really have to fucking break the window to get into his house?? That was totally retarded. He'd better pay for that window! Ooh, someone else! I'd like to inform you properly; I never started a discussion/argument with anyone, actually. Only the 3-4 people that replied to me. I never attacked anyone, as you allegedly stated. I posted my opinion in regards to this, and multiple people responded, taking offense to it. Also, debating, or replying to someone's opinion of my post is not the same as "attacking", so to speak. My original intention was not to bait anyone, simply to express my individual thoughts. But, of course, there's always going to be people who get offended. It's the internet! Also, surprisingly, I do not hate this anime, highly dislike would be a better term to describe it. On another note, I don't need facts to criticize anything. It makes an argument more justifiable, but it is not necessary. That is all. I'm prepared for more people to bash me sooner or later, that should be fun. |

It wouldn't have been insulting if you kept it inside the anime world. But "God, just because it's legal in Japan, you're okay with it?" and "Ooh, my apologies for being raised in a Western country", which sounds at least sarcastic, if not downright mocking, took it outside of it. "Pedophilia or paedophilia is a psychiatric disorder in which an adult or older adolescent experiences a primary or exclusive sexual attraction to prepubescent children." Source: wikipedia. Do you also need a definition of what "prepubescent children" means? That is all. She won't admit that she's wrong and has been spouting bullshit for an entire page, even if you hit her in the head with a dictionary. I never stated my opinion was the only right answer either.~ Also, hitting me on the head with a dictionary won't do much except create a bruise, not getting me understand something in particular.~ I honestly don't know what you're trying to accomplish by rebutting my opinions regarding this series. I've said enough that I'd think it would've already gotten to the multiple seemingly intelligent people that have responded to me; I will not change my stance with my opinion. Hm, but please do continue to attempt to get something more out of me. While you're there getting "offended" by my reply that wasn't directed towards one individual person, I'm here laughing at this nonsense. You really can't have an opinion on the internet.~ agressive keyboard typing intensifies |

"It must be that time of the month." I'M LAUGHING. Hasekura was helpful in developing the relationship between Kousuke and Masahiro. The way Kousuke broke the glass window to save his boyfriend in distress was so fab and sexy. When Kousuke pinned Masahiro down on the bed, I was excited about what will happen next. But the ending was cliffhanger. I WANT MORE! The delinquent black haired guy is so cute. He looks like Touka Kirishima from Tokyo Ghoul and Tatsuya Himuro from Kuroko no Basket. |

All weebs creatures of the galaxy, hear this message. Those of you who listen will not be struck by western animation. You will no longer know hunger, nor pain. Your Anime have come to lead you now. Our strength shall serve as a luminous sun toward which all intelligence may blossom. And the impervious shelter beneath which you will prosper. However, for those who refuse our offer and cling to their western animation ways… For you, there will be great wrath. |
