| Damn, why is Djeeta so much more badass than Gran? I wish we had her as the MC for the previous 12 episodes! Anyway, show was very average. I liked the art style, I liked Miyuki Sawashiro, but everything else felt pretty bland. It did make me mildly curious about the game itself though. So I guess Cygames and company managed to achieve their goal in that area at least. |

| waaaaaaaaaaaaaait... alternate universe? ALTERNATE UNIVERSE!!! just why wasn't this the main one. i, for one, would have loved to see more of the sis-mance(?) that was displayed in this episode between Djeeta and Lyria! and they actually made that annoying villain, whose name i forget, entertaining. By simply making him a joke for the protagonists. Now THAT'S how you do it! if you're going to make your villains one-note then make them funny like Team Rocket instead of just plain irritating. the anime could have been waaaaaay better if it had chosen Djeeta as a protagonist over Gran. At least it would have helped the anime stand out from the rest of the rpg crowd, by NOT having a romantic undertone between the MC and the Mysterious Waif. Some uniqueness would have really helped its generic setting. Too little too late man! Still, the episode was entertaining and i guess all's well that ends well. So... 7/10. i can't believe i increased my rating of a show due to a non-canon episode of it. P.S. i changed my opinion. if we do get another season it better be Djeeta's adventures before Gran's. |

| That was some very interesting way to do a fan service episode! Since its a game, simply change a MC gender to female (like you can do in a game i believe). Pretty clever idea, not gonna lie :D Overall, I think it was very simple but well executed anime which doesn't take itself too seriously. I enjoyed it. And also what's worth to mention is , of course, Uematsu with his beautiful music ;) Second season on the way |

| Well I didn't like this alternate OVA episode that much but I guess the creators just wanted to try a different MC for a change. But the show actually ended in episode 12. Anyway, I think it was a good show overall for something that is based on a mobile game since they are known to be full of flaws. And I always like settings that involve something different like sky islands and airships. The characters were also decent. |
| OMG! Just finished it and couldn't believe my eyes! It's not like the show was good or anything but then they did this!Just when I was thinking that the most possitive aspect of the show was the fact that it is one of the few A-1 Pictures show without 10 or so buttshots per episode they go and do this! This a new level of fanservice, changing the main character on the last episode for the other avatar of the game? WTF!? And for an even worse one? Just when you needed a better proof that the mc was nothing but a plot device. All of the no named fuckers from the second to last episode appeared as well and did nothing but being eye-candy. When did all this girls joined the company? And the whole thing goes totally againts the setting! What does a beach and bikinis and stuff has to do with a medieval setting? This is crappy ova or special material you retards! This last episode totally killed my interest on whatever new thing comes out from this franchise and it also was the definitive proof that these suckers heard that Shinsekai Yori got a lot of lesbian soft-porn and made an adaptation of it just because of that but they were so stupid that they picked the novel instead of the manga. | I'm not surprised that the series has such a low score. That the final episode was episode twelve, this episode is ova focused on the players, more specifically to the HL players (101+). The other episode that is ova is the fourteen that comes with the bluray Here the one related to this episode |

| Okay, why not an episode like this. ^^ But it would have been better declaring this as a special. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the rest of the show. Pretty decent fantasy adventure show with good animations, voice actors, music and beautiful character creations (visually one of the best for a fantasy show). Maybe a bit more serious storytelling (the opponent generals were dumb) and chara development with 24 episodes time for that would have been better. They had some interesting charas in the last regular episode (and even more in the game). So why not using them all in the first place wihtin an amazing story and complicated chara network? Something like hagane with all its charas for example or „shingeki no Bahamut“. Could have been an awesome fantasy show with this. I would say wasted potential somehow. But still a good show. Would give something between 0,75 and 0,8. Of course excluding this special disguised as a final episode. ^^ |

| And so we end with a beach fanservice extra episode! One in which our male MC Gran got replaced by our female MC Djeeta! Yeah....I haven't ever played the game this series was based off of, but I'm guessing it's probably one where you can pick between MC avatars and Djeeta must just be the female option. Humorous that they went through the trouble to swap her in for Gran in the ED too. Well that bizarre extra outing aside this show was fine. Pretty standard other world fantasy series. I can definitely see how it's based on a game with the map piece gathering. And party member gathering too for that matter. That's pretty much all that happened in this first season. It had a fairly slow and leisurely pace despite the action. The character designs were nice and generally speaking the show looked good. I say first season because apparently this has already been confirmed to be getting more episodes? I guess I'll watch if that's true. Solid 6/10. |
| I guess without having played the game the anime would appear pretty lackluster and you wouldn't be able to make much out of it. It's almost purely catered towards the playerbase, too much even arguably. Objectively it falls short to portray the vast world that Granblue really is. Ep 13 really was just fan service, picking it up from what Ep12 kinda started. It was fine here (of course you'd pick Djeeta for the beach episode, while I'd consider Gran more canon cause of the Lyria romance) but out of place in Ep 12. Overall the Anime could have done much more and I doubt Season 2 is going to remedy any of that cause a proper introduction to Granblue's lore would have been the most important thing. But I'm just too biased. I'm already getting wet eyes whenever any of the amazing soundtrack is playing in the background (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b5Ch5X_miHs). |
| Glad I stopped by hear so I could find out the last episode was just an extra. That's not the way Prime represented it. I would've had a much lower score if that was the actual end. Overall I thought it was an enjoyable if a bit generic show. I liked the heroes of our journey, the villains were a bit uneventful, and at times it felt like I was watching someone else play a video game. Still, I love RPGs so seeing the team-building, traveling to other areas, etc. still kept my interest. If the game were released in my neck of the woods I'd pick it up. 6/10 |
The game it's based off of is a mobile game, and it's available in English, and there's also the Re:Link game in development, which was confirmed to have an English version too. |

| Well that was unexpected. I agree that it felt more like an OVA, especially with all the fanservice we got. Overall I enjoyed it. The animation was definitely different what you normally are used to, but absolutely not in a bad way. I liked it and I can't wait to see what they will show in the second season because I have no clue about the games. |

| Well, looks like this was some fanservice for the players of the game. Too bad I'm not one of them but I don't mind stuff like this if the gamers are happy with this. Djeeta, on first glance, seemed like a much more interesting main character to have, and an overpowered one at that. Good that we got some of the other characters that appeared in Episode 12 too but sadly we didn't get enough to really figure out what that was all about, could it be that was some kind of reference to mashup of players defeating a common enemy like a final boss or so? Got to say, a tad bit too much fanservice for my liking and it's a little lame that the Empire is so lame here. Lol @ that bit starring Katalina though, that was gold! Over all, this Season started off on a pretty interesting note but some of the middle arcs just dragged on and on. I really liked some of the Characters individually, like Rackam, Katalina (great props to her VA for some excellent voice acting too) & Eugen in particular, and the animation as a whole was great (especially episode 12 of course). Sound Department-wise, the Op & ED itself were glorious but some of the soundtracks used were really good too! Enjoyment-wise, it was fun and I really want to give this a considerate 7/10 but I think I'll have to stick with 6/10. Looking forward to Season 2, hopefully this'll improve on some of the lows of the first season! | I really liked that show. It was such a pleasant thing to watch, really. The story is simple but satisfying, no stupid edgy shit and anything dragging on for too long. I LOVE the setting, it's this perfect mix of typical fantasy with just the right amount of technology. Love the flying ships and all that. The characters are likable, even Gran which is a self-insert from a game works well enough, IMO. And I LOVE how it looks, I don't know what is it, but it looks pretty. The artstyle is cool, the pastel colour palette is great. The world looks amazing. Generally, a very solid show. The story is nothing that special, but it's good enough, and main character could be better, but anyway, it's pretty and highly enjoyable. Which is further increased by recognizing the characters (I never played GBF, but I did play quite a bit of Shadowverse). Zeta was the best surprise for me, and she even used the very same line she has when you play the card. 7/10 from me, I had more fun with this than other fantasy/isekai in recent memory. Makes me want to try out the actual game (not likely, as I already play FGO and GBF is supposed to be super time consuming) |

Like at the end and not in an OVA or smthn And wow so many crew members °^° Ofc they only showed the girls tho - makes me think if Gran was there the good female/male ratio would be destroyed.. Or rather- it looks like it is but only females is more like a friendship adventure not all females hogging around the male Well now that it's over I'm looking forward to season 2 soon but also want to play the game now. I'm interested in the other characters |

| As I see it, this episode is useless, I would have preferred another episode focused on the main story and not on a scenario like that "what if", which reminds me so much of other anime series, like "Da Capo", in which the female protagonist changes and so also the final result changes, seen from this perspective, then this episode has a quite useful value. |

| I was all set to like the show even more after episode 12, thoguh they just threw in too many chaaracters, likely from the game...but this final ep...wtf...Just an extra I suppose...like the halloween episode. Stll the show was alittle unoriginal. BUt I liked it enough. I hope they really beef things up with season 2. Anyways, 6/10 fer sure, not too bad. ^^ |

| This show is really remind me with FF XII on earlier episodes that I wonder if it has same staff and stuff, pretty enjoyable to watch nonetheless as a fan of fantasy genre. 7/10. |

| I pretty much love this lighthearted Anime. But I wonder why it got 6/10 when the plot was great? P.S. The Animation should've been extended. It felt rushed in terms of so many sub chars suddenly popping out when I need to learn of their background stories as well. Better play the game then... |
| It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it, is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service. |
| Didn't expect an alternate route story to be the last episode instead of being done as a ova, not that I'm complaining with the nice fanservice beach there ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Quite enjoyed this classical fantasy season, bit of a mediocre story at times but still pretty good for an adaptation of a game. |

| I enjoyed that more than I thought I would. It was a very pleasant watch. Linear narrative but fun nevertheless. Characters were eye catching and the world looked pretty awesome. 8/10. |

| Really surprised to come in here and read how this episode was so hated, with "hated" even leading the poll (30%). I don't see how a fun non-canon bonus episode 'ruined' the series. It was just a silly what-if adventure to end on. Though I really don't see why so many people are also saying it was fan service either. Yeah there was swimsuits but they weren't anything special and didn't show off anything. You see more revealing stuff in the Sunday paper advertisements. This felt ridiculously tame. Well, maybe that's why it was hated... |
| Why is this episode not an OVA? As it is, this is an embarrassment of a final episode for a show, completely pointless and not even in the main timeline. Thanks to her being in the PriConne gacha (which I did play for a little while), I'd been waiting for Djeeta to appear all season, but this garbage is what they do with her? Good show overall, but these last two episodes have been pretty bad and hopefully aren't a sign of things to come in season 2. I have to dock a point for this episode in particular as well, so while I was going to give it a 7/10 I can only really give it a 6 after this. |
