 The official Twitter account of Code Geass franchise has revealed details for the previously announced compilation film trilogy. The first part, Koudou (Awakening), will screen in Japanese theaters on October 21, followed by Handou (Rebellion) in February 2018, and Oudou (Emperor) in May 2018. The trilogy will recap the two seasons of Code Geass with new scenes. The original cast will re-record their lines for the film. The voice of Shinichirou Tamaki will be replaced by Nobuyuki Hiyama from Kazunari Tanaka due to Tanaka's death in 2016. In commemoration of the movie trilogy, two spin-offs will be released under Sunrise's Yatate Bunko light novel imprint in Fall 2017. The first one titled Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch Gaiden - Shiro no Kishi, Kurenai no Yasha will focus on Suzaku Kururugi and Kallen Stadtfeld, while the second titled Code Geass Danshou: Mosaic no Kakera will revolve around the lives changed during the events of the main series. The two seasons will also receive a rebroadcast on BS11, with two episodes airing every Saturday at 7:00 p.m., starting on October 1. | This is actually a relief. So basically the new movie series is more or less a movie version remake of the original 50 episodes series, with a little bit of new scenes and some more cosmetics. At least they won't get a chance to butcher the series with new, illogical stuff. |

There was no reason to believe Char Aznable was alive when Gundam ended, then he was suddenly shown alive and well, flying out of the battlefield in the last scene of the theatrical summary. Thus, paving the way for Zeta Gundam (who starts immediately with him). You can expect something like that for the last minute of the third movie, right before the credits roll.No explanation, just the character "sailing away". |
| aw man CG has one if not the best ending to an anime i've ever watched, well the whole show was just amazing. That being said kinda afraid yet excited for a season three. I just don't want the show to be ruined just 'cause it's such a popular show. Kinda like how SOA got another season.....when in my opinion really didn't need it and it kinda killed the whole thing for me :/ |

Actually this 3 movie recap series was already mentioned in the original announcement but the release dates were not revealed for these movies(which were revealed now) and they are still going to make a new Code Geass season called code geass: fukkatsu no lelouch sometimes after the release of the third movie so the new season will probably comes out in late 2018 or early 2019. |

| Shinichirou voice actor passed away!!?? Damnit man! Rip. Anyway, ill be passing this up. Not a fan of recap movies, regardless of whether or not it has new scenes in it. So unless the new scenes add major and important details that the show never covered, Id say its a waste of time watching a movie trilogy with less content from the series. That new season betfer have some justifyable reason for continuing with its new plot coz the story was done with season 2. Please dont ruin this great show for popularity. |
