| I wonder what a day like this looks for you. You wake up one morning next to your Samus Aran bodypillow you have ever since you started your journey into weeabhood, with the insane idea to check out what is pretty much in every aspect a failed adaption of a source material that pretends to be subversive yet all characters are simply personified and cliched fetish boxes meant for pandering. Then, after Shirou's wisdom making you stop checking you out for more of FSN than one episode you decide to switch to what is not only an actually good show but also actually a subversion of the jidai geki genre. But instead of finishing Rurouni Kenshin in one go, as it should be experienced (mind the fillers) by those who 'get it', you decide to let the equivalent to ending the day with a glass of scotch be Azumanga Daioh, instead of simply (re)reading Yotsuba. I would say the list updates are a fascinating outlook into the world of an anime who simply doesn't know what is good or what he should claim to like, or as we like to call them on here, 'one of us'. |
