| Dude...trash anime does get produced. Now you would say, why would they do that? why would they make crappy anime in the first place? well there are plenty of reasons, first being that any of the production staff may be incopetent or something went horribly wrong during production and there wasn't enough budget to repair it properly or the source material is garbage to begin with and finally my personal favorite: Making a barebones anime with the minimal amount of effort because it sells well anyways and it's a great way to save some cash, just watch the anime made by A-1 they are masters at it |
| Anytime something is monetized there are going to be jackals out to make a quick buck. Anime is a product, of course there are going to be series that are made on the cheap with very little quality control, artistic vision, or effort put into them. "Trash" exists in all art forms, but you need the trash to appreciate the treasure. |

| you might want to give a formal definition of trash anime is a trash anime synonymous to one that is never produced, or is there some other detail that separates trash from non-trash anime from the set of anime that have not been produced? some anime have had seemingly so low production value (kokuhaku anyone?) they are dangerously close to being trash even by the wide definition |
