 It has been announced via a Nico Live broadcast for the light novel Ryuuou no Oshigoto! that the series will get a TV anime adaptation. The anime's official website also opened with details regarding the adaptation.Synopsis: The story is about a teenage boy who happens to be a shogi master. One day, a nine-year-old girl turns up at his house, requesting to be taken as his disciple. From there, all kinds of wacky hijinks ensue. | If the girl wanted to become his disciple it could be somewhat interesting but this way it sounds really unfunny. With premise like that it takes just a few minutes to judge if it will suck or not. Director and studio don't make it look any better as well. |

| The light novel is available in baka tsuki for those who want to try it. Though do take note that it has a warning that it has heavy shogi dependent terms so if you like shows like 3-gatsu not because of its game, well better learn the game first before reading this. |

| It feels like it's mixing sangatsu no lion with tenshi no 3p. It doesn't help that the director of tenshi no 3p is coming back to direct this. Now I may enjoy shougi and I may be a lolicon, but the loli-themed fanservice for tenshi no 3p was a bit too excessive for my tastes. I hope that the "wacky hijinks" from the loli coming in and becoming the mc's disciple doesn't become what I think it is...other than that the art is kind of cute. |
