| Great episode!! Finally Rin got her wish and got Saber!!! Unlimited Blade Works!! Yeah the whole when Shirou came running towards Archer and it became over quickly. Damn it, they showed it on VN game, but not on Anime form :( Wow! So that's why Rin was getting pissed on how Archer and Shirou are very similar to one another. When he said Trace on as well as both of them uses daggers, it pretty much hinted that Archer is Shirou from the future. But what kind of future? Doubt Shirou was in the ages where war was being rage non-stop. I'm guessing he's an alternative future self, where he gave up on humanity. It kinda reminds me on what happened to Kiritsugu towards the end of Zero. Lancer is slowly becoming my favorite! The Zero version was okay, but UBW one is so much better! I want to see Archer vs Gilgamesh! They have similar way of summoning swords from the past and all. Maybe that's why Gilgamesh called him "faker"?? It was rush, but I really love the animation and fight scenes. Wish they remake it again on a movie, but they would rather focus on sequels etc. Can't wait for the next episode!! |

| So Archer = future Shirou? Interesting, I had figured at this point that there was some kind of connection. Considering there's 7 episode left, I presume we still have some more overarching plot to go with Gilgamesh and Kirei having some grander plot. Plus, we still don't know who Lancer's master is. I wonder if somehow, Shirou has Archer become his servant to stop Gilgamesh and Kirei. |

| Wait did Rin get all 3 command spells back? The rules for this are really really weird. Lose a servant, get a new one, lose a master, get a new one, lose your command spells, just make a new contract. So Archer is competing with Gil-kun for the position of biggest dick of the show. And I guess Sakura is Lancers master. |

| Seems everyone figured already Archer's identity. That narration by Rin pretty much revealed it. Still, can't tell if Archer really can't tell his real name to Rin because he forgot it or don't wanna tell her. Probably this timeline will change due to Archer's termination, had Archer not interfere, Shirou will not return the pendant I guess. That explains why Archer had it, or he rob it from Rin in other timeline? lol. |

| Archer is basically the future Shirou that wanted to save everybody's life. I Hope Rin doesn't go to Shinji cause fuck that guy. He's only in the war because he has Gilgadaddy. |

| I predicted the Archer thing but I don't think it was meant to be hidden. Those eyebrows were the main giveaway, haha. "Faker." Wasn't that bad an episode for me as someone who hasn't read the VN but from all this discussion on the first page, at least, I feel maybe I should read it someday. This series isn't nearly as strong as Fate/zero but has some stuff that's still good. |

| This story would've turned out very differently had Archer been just a LITTLE faster on just ONE of THREE separate occasions: 1. Killing Saber before getting interrupted by Shirou 2. Killing Shirou before getting interrupted by Rin 3. Killing Rin before she finishes her incantation speech Ok besides the fact that Archer kind of just stands there and allows Rin to say the full speech that makes Saber her servant (which I totally forgot happens by the way, and I totally dig it), I guess that can just, happen, no overseer needed? That's convenient and all, but then why didn't Rin or Shirou try to claim Archer as well, who's also now without a master? Is it because they were mad at him for trying to kill them? Is it because both sides need consent? Well that makes sense I guess, consent is very cool after all. Still, Archer's reaction time was total ass. He deserved to get beat down by Saber by how slow he responded to the situation. Anyway, that's not the important part of this episode. What is important is that it looks like we've finally been officially been told who Archer is- and I still don't fully get it. From what I understand, he is Shirou's future self, still dead set in helping and saving people, but for some reason was betrayed or just failed to carry out his ideals, and instead of fully dying, was somehow granted the becoming of a heroic spirit, and was able to enter different eras and such, still trying to help people I guess? But I guess that never worked out, and now that he has found himself in the same era as his past self, he's going to take it upon himself to end it all so that none of his life ever happens. I'm sure that's not exactly how it is or that there's more to it, but that's what I've always understood at least. I still don't get the whole thing with his reality marble and all his weapons though. Is it meant to suggest that he lost his way somewhere along his path of helping people, ending up killing for the greater good, becoming someone like Kiritsugu was? I'll have to watch an "UBW explained" video later if I can find a good one, because who Archer is is kind of the centrepiece of this whole route. |

| Overall decent episode, i do feel bad for Archer/Shirou cause of his whole ideal that was implemented in him. |
