That ending left me speechless...
He snapped. XD
Also the new version of the ED is more disturbing than the previous one.

Nakamura broke down all Kasuga's inhibitions through her clever manipulation. She is definitely the most interesting character in the show.

WOW. Regarding the end of the episode: At first, I was like "Kasuga NOO!! Don't write that crap on the board, that marks the end of your life right there!!" And when Nakamura was about to leave and just be done with him, I was like "FINALLY THAT CRAZY MANIPULATIVE BITCH BE OUT THE PICTURE" and I hoped he wouldn't say anything to keep her there, then he did. BUT as they continued to vandalize the classroom, I thought, Hey maybe this isn't so bad? They both look happy as hell, even If they were being psychos. I think Nakamura has a slight point in that everything is boring, and all people wanna do is be normal and stuff. As long as they have each other (Kasuga and Nakamura), and Nakamura actually starts Caring about Kasuga, I'd be fine with it all. Looking forward to next episodeee~

the last scene was just amazing n the ost in it made it so awesome. would be a perfect adapation if it wasnt for the rotoscope

Funny, I find it is perfect thanks to the rotoscope. Would never get the emotion on their faces this good without it.

Exactly. The rotoscoping is what gives the motion to the subtle movement of the face. Its why the emotions are picked up on without the exaggerated over acting and actions you usually see.

This is the kind of foreplay Nakamura was waiting for, letting Kasuga see for himself what he's really like, wants and feels like.

Going to be one hell of a morning tomorrow.

This is the dumbest person ever fictionalized. Why is he trying to please this girl? Like she said she was going to leave him alone for good and he called her back.

Woah now, to say that Kasuga was actually who Nakamura accused him of is a flat out lie. This is all due to Nakamura own twisted views projected onto Kasuga. It's behavioral confirmation and if Kasuga does continue to act along, it will just be a case of self fulfilling prophecy.

Kasuga was manipulated and coerced, period.

Not saying he's exactly what Nakamura is saying he is but Kasuga does get a good view due to her involvement.

Kasuga then again is getting manipulated pretty easy though.

The vandalizing scene at the end was very well done. With the ink and the inadvertent painting of what seems to be the cover art from the book Flowers of Evil in classroom.

I can't say I like the rest leading up to it though. The acting and other scenes of this episode was overly dramatic.. (it's very agonizing, ughhhh) especially the begging scene, if it's anymore over the top, I'm inclined to believe it's just insincerity in disguise

I knew from the beginning that Kasuga is just as fucked up as Nakamura, only he kept all of it inside. They're basically doing everything to not be considered normies. What an unlikable couple xD Vandalism scene at the end was beautifully shot and amazing to watch, not gonna lie.

Good lord, I picked this series up on a whim out of morbid curiosity because of how crude the art style looked since I'm drawn to weird/oddly-stylized shows a lot. But god damn... That last scene was spectacular. I can't even describe how it made me feel, something about it was just so perfectly done, cathartic, yet incredibly sombre too. What a rough gem of a show.

The animation at the end was so good. If the characters weren't so ugly and the MC wasn't such a pathetic piece of s*** would've been really great.

I can tell why they went with this art style, but CGI would've been even better imo for that RL effect. E.g. Ajin/Levius.

The dark, production-heavy ambient music is also excellent so far.

One of my favorite anime episodes of all time. The classroom scene is both beautiful and disgusting at the same time. Its hard to find another piece of media that portrays these types of emotions in such a unique and powerful way. The only thing i can truly compare this episode to is a drug addict getting his/her rush, and then the euphoria/comedown that sets in afterwards(during the beginning of the next episode). Both characters getting enjoyment out of a situation so twisted, whether they are willing to admit it or not. This episode is outstanding and one of a kind. 10/10

I was planning on complaining about how Kasuga is in the perfect condition to ditch Nakamura considering that people saw some old guy creeping around school, he's hooking up with saeki and that nobody would believe Nakamura unless she had hard prove, but the way this episode went is so much better.

I have a feeling that Kasuga and Nakamura relationship will blossom in a romantic one especially with that ending of theirs. Interesting to see where this goes.

This episode really stood out and that end scene was exhilarating to another level. It is going to be really tough for Kasuga when Saeki finds out about the whole gym clothes incident.

Kasuga doesn't want to disappoint Nakamura and I think he kinda likes her now.

Let's just watch and find out. :)

This is where the story really shines. This moment is what Nakamura was looking for, and even if everything she did to get it was wrong on so many levels, Kasuga was smiling freely, bc earlier with Saeki he was happy, sure, but it wasn't this kind of happiness. A real moment without holding back, with someone who knows everything bad about you so there's nothing to hide, nothing that can make it fake. And the fact that to achieve that feeling so much was sacrificed I guess could be the point of it all. Not just that, but the fact that it could end right here and I would be satisfied and it continues regardless and intends to show the consequences of their happiness, is proving the point even further imo.

I knew this had to be special.

Just rewatched the Classroom scene at the end randomly and yeah, this still is one of my favorite anime scenes of all time and I still love how the cinematography and visuals are for this series. That last scene at the classroom with Kasuga and Nakamura had me fucking immersed in all the madness and the contrast of madness and breakdown with a pleasurable touch from Nakamura's side was unbelievably great. Music was fantastic and disturbing too to fit the chaos so well. I just wish this show got a 2nd season instead of being cancelled, what a shame.

Now he better not go back to acting like a pussy after this cuz it would literally make this whole thing pointless

genuinely one of the most beautiful scenes i've ever seen in an anime.

this show is proof that different mediums bring so much value to the same story. this scene would not have been even one iota as powerful and unique as it was if it hadn't been rotoscoped, if it hadn't had the harrowing music, if the cinematography wasn't so impeccable... this is a work of master artistry that proves itself on every level. quickly becoming one of my favorite anime. bravo to the whole production team!

(it's kind of making me wish that a show in this style could be made for Blood on the Tracks. it would work so well... but i guess the whole concept of Oshimi Shuzo's manga as a rotoscoped anime wouldn't be as impressive the second time around, haha)
