With the Realta Nua patch of the visual novel you can block every H-scene. I'd really recommend you to read HF if you enjoyed UBW, since the movies aren't coming anytime soon. Most versions have you go through Fate+UBW route before going to Heaven's Feel. Plus you have to go through a walk through to avoid all dead ends+ how to get HF route anyway. If you're talking about a non-vn version, then reading a summary is the best you could hope for. |

FSN2006 has: - Better pacing - Worse storyline that tries to fuse all three routes together and ends up incomprehensible melodramatic mess. - Bad production values. Bad fight choreography. - Worse Shirou character design. - Better character designs of everyone else despite production values. - Bad characterization. FSN UBW: - Horribly uneven pacing. - Storyline that is only single route however is incomprehensible without source material, is poorly adapted and ends up incomprehensible melodramatic mess. - Good production values. Bad fight choreography. - Great character design for Shirou. - Shitty character designs with weird noses and overblown facial expressions for everyone else. - Bad characterization. Overall both do not deserve their scores(they are way too high), as reviews already show. UBW is 5 to 6 at most if being generous and 2006 version is not worth even that. So yeah UBW edges it out by a little bit. Still overall meh. And yes, Fate/Zero so far is the only near-perfect adaptation. |

wat a shame .... and i also noticed 1 thing. other than kiritsugu, all the male lead characters are wussies in ufotable productions, take for example the recently released fate/first order special which means the entire grand order series too and also its mikiya from garden of sinners series. such a buzzkill :( |
