If you add "Berserk" as an alternative title to the new series, Taiga will prioritize that. Note that this may cause the files that belong to the older series to be identified as the new one as well. |

How can I get this to change in Taiga, to automatically download? Add "Berserk" as an alternative title (without the quotes) to Berserk (2016) and it should be fine. Keep in mind you'll need to remove the alternative title to watch the original series afterwards, of course. |

I added an alternative title to both and renamed my old files, so hopefully that fixes it once new episodes come out. Though, will this alternate title work for torrent tagging/downloading? |

Khalku said: will this alternate title work for torrent tagging/downloading? Yes. The underlying mechanism that identifies torrent releases is the same as the one that identifies the files on your computer. You can read the "How does anime recognition work?" section on the FAQ page for more information. |

@Paulo27 I can't seem to find any releases that require the Re:Zero-to-Re:Petit redirection. Which fansub groups are doing that? I'll be adding the Teekyuu redirections, but no need to add dozens of rules for a couple of special episodes. Also, are Teekyuu 5 Specials and Teekyuu 6 Specials released? The last one I see from Commie is the Teekyuu 4 one. |

Hi there again, having a bit of a problem with recognition... without having to enter an alternative title. [Kametsu] Fate Stay Night - Unlimited Blade Works - Sunny Day (OVA) (BD 1080p Hi10 FLAC) [4BE5A7CC].mkv - Not recognised [Kametsu] Fate Stay Night - Unlimited Blade Works Sunny Day (BD 1080p Hi10 FLAC) [4BE5A7CC].mkv - Incorrectly Recognised as Prologue instead of Sunny Day. Actually, any variation that has "invalid" episode number such as 0 or no ep number at all gets treated as Prologue. It seems no matter what I try, Sunny Day just doesn't get recognised without resorting to alternative title. Any smart tips? Also, I came up with this "fairly good" naming scheme: [<Group>] <Anime Title> - Episode <##> - <Episode Title> [<AVC/HEVC> <Hi10P/Ma10P> <Resolution> <BD/TV> <FLAC/AAC/AC3>][<CRC32>].mkv I'm considering adding Season ## right before Episode, or replacing it with S##E## as it is often used for TV shows and works with Taiga too. I'd say it's fairly well readable by both human and anitomy (which is what I'm after), it's only problem so far being veeery long episode names. Thoughts on this? |

Also, in this case it doesn't matter because Taiga can't recognize either, but you'd have to add "2nd Season" to the filename. It's telling you it's the Prologue likely because you have an alternative title either in S1 or the Prologue itself, in case it's in S1, Taiga sees the numberless filename as episode 0 and redirects to the Prologue. I'm thinking here that Taiga is ignoring everything after "season" except for a potential episode number, which it can't find, so it has no idea what entry to pick. This seems to be another very specific case since I can't reproduce it with other entries. |

Adding 2nd Season to the filename had no effect, or maybe even confused Taiga even further. It was one of the first ideas I tried, before I asked for help. All episodes of both seasons are in the same folder, prologue being 00, and 2nd Season starting from 13, no problems with recognition there. Sunny Day without number. Maybe I'll try playing around with delimiters to see if I can make Taiga think Sunny Day is part of anime name. |

@erengy For Shikabane Hime, Exiled-Destiny has them like [Exiled-Destiny]_Corpse_Princess_Ep26_(0CBC4800).mkv And then there's [NAKADASHINOURESHISA]_Shikabane_Hime_Kuro_-_13_(h264_832x480_OGG)[24768A68].mkv Both are the same episode (the S2 special), hence adding the rule for both seasons. They should both be on Nyaa if you search for "Corpse Princess" and NAKADASHINOURESHISA And MAL isn't exactly wrong with the Outlaw Star specials, it's consistent with what they do for just about every other series, but since the series is a bit older and they only changed it now, it causes a bit of a problem. Ideally fansubs/licensors would label these as 16.5 and 23.5 episodes like they do with other specials most of the time, but again, series' old. |

Also, @erengy, it seems like Taiga won't notify you of other relation updates if it already notified you once, you updated the relations several times now but I only got notified the first one, I always had Taiga open so not sure if a restart would fix that. Also this one doesn't seem to be done: Update: You can search "Media Blasters DVD" to see this one.# Magic Knight Rayearth -> ~ II - 435|399:21-49 -> 1563|1403:1-29! |

Could Taiga scan folder names for anime information as well, and from that understand what series the files in the folder are from? For instance, I'm currently watching FMA, but the episodes are just named as "[Philosophy-Raws] 01. Those Who Challenge The Sun", something that seems fairly common for older series. The folder is named "[Philosophy-Raws] Hagane No Renkinjutsushi (Fullmetal Alchemist) (2003) [BD 1440x1080 Hi10P - FLAC2.0]", which clearly has all the information needed, and could probably be parsed by Taiga no problem. Would be super useful and solve a lot of problems with older shows where file naming wasn't as standardized as it is today. |

I guess it actually sees the tag and ends up ignoring the folder name and doesn't take it into account.I tried that, it doesn't seem to work. "01 - Those Who Challenge The Sun.mkv" will work perfectly fine but "[Philosophy-Raws] 01 - Those Who Challenge The Sun.mkv" doesn't. And the alternative title here would have to be "Hagane No Renkinjutsushi (Fullmetal Alchemist) (2003)" didn't notice the year before. |

Ah, that explains it. I tried messing around a lot with alternative titles, but I guess that's why it didn't work. Should have done more detective work myself, but oh well. Thanks a lot! I do think this should be made to work, though. Also that kinda goes for the alternative title as well. Things in parentheses could possibly be checked if they correspond to a release year or an alternative title or other things like that. |
