The last time it came out on a Saturday with no LE was with vol 16 back in June 2014. That time, incidentally, it sold 4235 in those 2 days, missing the 5.9k threshold, and then barely scraped into the rankings the following week, in which it sold 4882. |

There are certain things that tend to get bigger sales on Oricon than POS, most significantly things that get released early in some places but not others, and some things that seem to be the other way around. Generally, though, something doing well on the POS rankings throughout the week will do well on the Oricon rankings as well. Here's a comparison between the weekly bunko rankings for the week covered in this thread on Oricon and POS for the top 30 on Oricon (Oricon rank on the left, POS on the right): Of course, when you're dealing with daily rankings you have to remember that some days will generally be more significant than others, as well as bear in mind when volumes come out for new stuff. Conveniently the POS rankings show the release date (actual, not official) of each volume on the right of the line. |
