| Gonna watch All out! Anything by Madhouse ought to be good, and the designs are barafabulous. This second season of Mobile suit gundam will make me watch the first.. The two bara characters that keep getting fans coupling them are making me interested. I'm excited for Ajin 2, though, season 1 was great. Also gonna give Drifters, Touken Ranbu (Since I keep hearing so much about it..) and Kiss him not me a shot, hopefully they're not terrible. |

However, in the new ones, im pretty sure there will be some really nice ones this season. | TBH, weakest season i've seen so far except for some sequels. Will at least give me a break. Got like 24 anime on currently watching. Seems like drifters might take this one because of Re:Zero. We'll see. |
| Still watching the same amount of shows (10) as the last couple of seasons, but this one most certainly seems less exciting. Anyway, with nothing continuing from Summer, this is what I'm going to be watching: Mahou Shoujo Ikusei Keikaku (Sounds pretty interesting but I'm worried about how it'll manage tone) Okusama ga Seitokaichou!+! (Definite guilty pleasure watch, but the first season was very fun) Natsume Yuujinchou Go (Once I finally catch up on the previous four seasons, almost done with the second one so far) Bungou Stray Dogs 2nd Season (Hopefully picks up as well as the first season left off, ideally with less comedy too) Drifters (Looks and sounds awesome) 3-gatsu No Lion (Cautiously optimistic about this one as it looks better than it sounds) Ajin 2nd Season (First season was very interesting and hopefully this second season continues that) Occultic;Nine (Not sure about this, but it's by the same people who do the science adventure series, so even if it's not part of it, it can't be too bad) Udon No Kuni No Kiniro Kemari (Hopefully it can be as cute as Sweetness And Lightning while also being less formulaic) Girlfriend Note (Enjoyed the first series and love the franchise, so definitely watching this whenever it ends up airing) Overall, not accounting for the likely delay to Ajin (assuming Netflix pick it up again) this is what my schedule looks like at this point (obviously changes when Girlfriend Note confirmed): Wednesday: Natsume's Book Of Friends 5 Thursday: Bungo Stray Dogs 2nd Season Friday: Drifters Saturday: Ajin: Demi-Human 2nd Season, March Comes In Like A Lion, Occultic;Nine Sunday: Magical Girl Raising Project, My Wife Is The Student Council President +, Poco's Udon World Most hyped for Drifters though, by far. |

| Ah, the season overburdened with mahou shoujos, sports anime and cute girls doing cute stuff nonsense. Sure feels like fall. SURE WATCH - Trickster: Edogawa Ranpo "Shounen Tanteidan" yori - Please be good, please be good , please be good. Ranpo's novels are some of the most fascinating and bizarre literature with weird and intriguing characters and S&M tendencies. Please be good and surreal. - To Be A hero - Shinichi Watanabe at helm + intriguing plotline + atypical main character = interesting. I don't think this will be as good as Excel Saga, but still - Bungou Stray Dogs 2nd Season - YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS. IN MY VEINSSS. Western Authors are hereeee. Can't wait to see what the show does with Lovecraft. - Flip Flappers - The art is looking great and stylish and everything about that PV was great. Please be good. - Drifters - YES. YES. YESSSSS. Been waiting years for this. Still remember when the first chapters came out. Hopefully the adaptation lives up to the manga. - 3-gatsu no Lion - While the genre and everything does not interest me even a little bit, hopefully SHAFT makes it watchable and more creative. - ClassicaLoid - Everything about this looks great. - Occultic;Nine - Barring fanservice, still great PV. The fact that this is connected to the other works in the same vein like Steins;Gate is a cherry on top. Anything having ; in name usually indicates quality. Well except Chaos;head(gee thanks madhouse). Please don't mess this up A1.... Will Try: - Ao Oni - This looks funny an interesting and DEEN has put out some of the best shows lately, so let's see how this goes. - Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans 2nd Season - I do want to see on just how will Mari Okada make this crash and burn. Because she will. She can't write even if to save her life. - Soul Buster - The PV looks damn great in terms of art. IF Nasuverse and especially FSN is cursed in terms of only getting shitty adaptations, maybe its Chinese Rip off will avoid that fate? - Cheating Craft - The premise is damn coool. A show about, basically, cheating in highschool. Never saw that before so hopefully this will be good. One episode Rule: - Shuumatsu no Izetta - Here's hoping that Izetta is not too anime :[ I want a proper WW2 anime without needing to cringe at the out of place tropes. The fact taht they already censored the setting by replacing the countries with fictional ones is also a warning sign. Alas so far this is giving me vibes of Aldnoah Zero and NOPE NOPE NOPE. - Lostorage Incited WIXOSS - Let's hope it gets as trainwrecky as possible. That is the only reason to watch a Mari Okada show. If it is not at least as nonsensical and crazy as previous seasons, there's no reason to watch it then. - Luger Code 1951 - Synopsis is meh, but cold war setting tho!.... NOPE: - Mahou Shoujo Ikusei Keikaku - Another grimderp madoka rip off about SUFFERING? Thank you , not touching it. Everything about that PV looked horribly bad and the synopsis had the death game meme which is ewwww. - ViVid Strike! - Nanoha as a show fell so damn low :( I miss StrikerS and other good seasons. This is the CLASSIC case of the author having absolutely no clue what made his show good and "going back to the roots" in such a way that makes it lose all that was good. - Yuri!!! on Ice - Title made me hyped. Seeing PV made me fall asleep and feel like it has betrayed expectations. No yuri there....Just another sports title targeted at fujoshi. Meh. |

| Wished for a new season of Osomatsu, but looks like it's not happening (yet). I like the revivals, though Chi's Sweet Home looks cute, even though the CGI animation is... very, very bad. And the framerate sucks as well. But it seems fun. Time Bokan has been inactive for over 25 years now, so it's nice to see a comeback. Looking forward to see how it will turn out in this modern age of Anime. |

And Mahou shoujo are cute and colourful, that usually goes together (except when you're MS kinshihou author, but that guy is crazy ). And the moment you don't write a cute story when featuring mahou shoujo, then you find yourself with absurdly powerful abilities that can result in gruesome deaths in a snap of fingers. Surely you already thought about that, after all? Just how would REALLY behave peoples with such powers if you replace the pink coloured world they live in with a world full of peoples with more believable (and therefore selfish) behaviours? Soit's just using mahou shoujo for something else than a cute story in a world that isn't pink. YuuYuuYuu is once again an extremely different show from madomagi. Mahou shoujo are a type of character, not a TYPE OF STORY. Just because two stories have "tsundere characters" and are both with some deaths do not make them close. Same with two shows with white haired protagonists. and same with mahou shoujo. "suffering" is actually not at the centre of Mahoiku at all. Except for the fact that all those characters are mahou shoujo, they are a wide cast of personality. This includes characters who don't give a fuck about peoples being killed, and so on. While the anime will only cover the first arc, Mahoiku as a whole features tons of mahou shoujo who have already killed, and in some times, have killed a LOT. it's less about suffering than about corruption and of the danger to give such powers to random peoples. That, and about deception and manipulating others to your own interest. If anything, rather than being "close of something else" the mahou shoujo we're getting now have far more originality and freedom of variety than before. Mahou shoujo genre has been for a very long time almost showcased into pink coloured world building. You should rejoice that this is no longer the case. Now, someone who want to write something with mahou shoujo can write any type of story he want and be accepted properly as such. Mahoiku is going a very different route from Madomagi. Saying madomagi is close to Mahoiku is the same as saying that the manga "battle royale" is close to the manga "Monster". That's about the same level of similarity. |
