Significant FPS increase for all my games. Best of all, because this is the reference card with a blower (that doesn't dump hot air inside the case) - my HDDs don't heat up anymore. |

The iGPU is really just a last resort for when your card breaks imo...Hardly any modern game runs well on it. And yeah, not every setup will overclock well. Modern video cards are getting more and more touchy I'd say. As for the bios, it perhaps only works on the VGA when you boot? Pretty sure there's at least one output that works for the bios. Usually due to the BIOS not being made for it, but probably the VGA will have a pic. Glad for you~ ^_^ That's really a plus for your casing, since it's probably less noisy with the new blower, given the fans don't spin as much. It takes out the hot air as well from your casing. From what I saw, the RX480 really triumphs as the new budget king as of now. Only the upcoming 1060 will maybe take its place, but I'm sure it will be higher priced for many countries. |

| You know what I'll put this here instead of weekly discussion since this isn't "Subaru messes everything up edition" If any one plans to watch Under the Dog. I'm going to say sorry for the 30 minutes you'll never be able to have back. Overall pretty underwhelming considering that it was a project with almost 900k backed on KS. Since there's no story no need for spoilers. Anyways the animation quality actually went from good to bad from the trailer to ova, I didn't know that was possible. Hey good part at least, the Guns are like some other Quality show that's airing right now. I suppose the English voicing was also pretty good. The whole ova seems like a money scam, the ova showed a girl who wasn't even the main character as shown in the trailer and when asked the director said he planned to make a series if it does well. While everything is negative, it's mostly cause of the amount of time, money, and hype spent on the ova that makes it terrible. The action itself was pretty good, and they manage to add a comedic line here and there. Just looking at it from the ova stand point it's pretty good. But if you were expecting something from this cause of the trailer you're gonna have a bad time. |

| I recently fixed up an old lamp. The lamp has a 3 way mogul switch and they don't make bulbs for that. I bought an adapter and a regular 3 way bulb. That fixed it up. |

| So after a few months of serious inactivity I played TERA the other day... and was saddened to see that they removed the Stamina system (incl. charms, firewood and campfires) in the recent patch. Gameplay-wise perhaps it's not such a big deal, but it's one of the charming (no pun intended) little things I loved in that game. Setting up a campfire wherever on quick breaks and burning charms for buffs. :| |
| But campfires were my excuse to not use potions :( Well... not like I play anymore So I work for a certain courier service. Basically I've been seeing cards priced $500 USD and $1000 USD. I could just open the boxes but I don't wanna risk it. It doesn't seem to fit any of their new lineup. There's also the rebellion posters. |

| The only GPUs I know that cost that much would be the Radeon Pro Duo and other new Radeon Pro stuff (these will replace the old FirePro line that competed with Nvidia's Quadro GPUs) intended for workstations etc. I've seen a lot of Fury sales online in the US within the $200 USD range so I strongly doubt it would be the Fury series either. None of the new Polaris-based GPUs reach the $500 USD range... Don't open any boxes. As a customer I hate the mere thought of couriers opening my parcels. Maybe some customers would even go as far as complaining about opened boxes. |

| What I've been up to lately is playing around with an Apple II GS woz edition. It has a memory card, IDE hard drive controller, and a zip card in it. The Hard Drive has some random things on it. |

| So I just watched Kimi no Na wa today in a local movie theater with a couple of friends. I didn't really intend to watch it on the big screen, but learning today was the last day it was showing in that theater, I decided to watch. I'm glad I did. Completely worth it to me. I find the mere fact that a local theater was showing an anime movie like this is already amazing in itself... Edit: I completely thought it was Nobuhiko Okamoto and Ai Kayano voicing the mains Taki and Mitsuha. I was completely wrong... I've seen so much anime I could normally identify seiyuu immediately just by hearing them, but today was different. Great job by Taki and Mitsuha's seiyuu! |

| If the film showing was 'global' enough for it to show in a 3rd world country like this, why not there? I'm sad that none of the Madoka movies showed in local film theaters like this... At least they spared it from local dubbing. Part of Kimi no Na wa's miracle showing was that they didn't dub it either. |
