G A M E . I N F O While role madness games are interesting and adds a certain flair to the game, there is some joy to
be found in a basic mafia game too. One where you are not too caught up with speculating roles and
abilities, but instead you are brought back to your roots and rely on bare bone scum hunting.
I'd say this game is targeted for players who much prefer behavioral analysis and newer
players as you are not overwhelmed with all these abilities that you are unfamiliar with.
But of course, anyone is welcome to join~
Section I: General Game Guidelines
1. External communications (PM/IRC/etc.) are prohibited. You do not mention the game
at all outside of the game thread until the game is over. It does not matter if you don't
think it will have any effect of the game, do not talk about the game to anyone at all. If
someone sends you a message about the game, screenshot it and PM me immediately.
This will not be tolerated.
2. Do not quote, copy and paste or screenshot any PMs sent from the host. Doing so
will result in a mod-kill. Pretending to break this rule is the same as actually breaking it.
You may paraphrase, but use caution. Putting words or phrases in quotation marks
when discussing private communications with the host in-thread is a violation of this
rule. If you're ever unsure about what you can and cannot say, run it by me first.
3. Be respectful of the other players. Attacking someone's play, reasoning, or opinions is
acceptable; attacking someone with personal insults is not.
4. You may PM the host with questions/concerns regarding the rules.
5. Once you die you are not allowed to post anymore.
6. If you are not in the game, do not post.
7. You must play to your win condition.
8. The Site & Forum Guidelines should be taken into consideration.
Section II: Day
1. Each Day phase will last for 48 hours.
2. During the day you discuss and vote.
Section III: Night
1. Each Night phase will last for 24 hours.
2. You may post in the game thread during the night. Though this is not necessary.
3. PM the host if you wish to use your ability.
4. Mafias will discuss who they want to kill during the night.
Section IV: Lynching
1. During the day phase, players can vote who they want to lynch.
2. This game uses both a majority lynch and a plurality lynch. This means that when a
majority vote (more than 50% votes on a player) is achieved the vote will be locked, the
players and the one lynched are still able to talk until the host updates the game. If a
majority is not reached, a plurality lynch applies, and the person with the most votes will
be lynched.
3. Any player can change and/or remove their vote.
4. Vote like this: Vote: Soren in bold so that I wont miss it.
5. Your vote will not be counted if you don't vote in the correct format. Nicknames and
typos of players will be counted as long as I know who it is referring to.
6. Tied votes will result in a no lynch.
Section V: Inactivity
1. Inactivity is frowned upon and makes the game boring. So please be as active as you
can.
2. If you do not make at least 5 posts that contribute to the game during a day phase,
you will receive a prod during the night. If you do not meet this requirement again you
will be replaced or modkilled by the end of the day phase. This is changed to 3 posts
when there are 6 players or less.
3. Stay on topic.
Section VI: Additional Notes
1. Day ends when the timer ends. Votes made after the timer ends will not be counted.
2. Night ends when the timer ends. Night actions sent after the timer ends will not be
counted.
3. If you want to get the host's attention to answer a question post @Soren in
bold, otherwise your question may be missed.
4. Factions in a secret club may discuss during any point of the game.
7. Do not claim scum partners with another player.
8. There will be a secret club for the dead to discuss the game.
9. Failure to comply with these rules will result in consequences.
This game uses an open setup, which means that you know
what roles are in the game.
However, you will not know what characters are in the game.
This game will be full reveal, meaning that role and alignment are
revealed upon death.
Town wincon
You win when all players without a town wincon are eliminated and at least one town-aligned
player is still alive (or nothing can prevent the same).
Cop Ability: During the Night, you may PM me the name of another player. You will
receive "You believe NAME to be GUILTY" if that player is aligned with the Mafia. You
will receive "You believe NAME to be NOT GUILTY" if that player is not aligned with the
Mafia. You will receive "No result" if your investigation failed.
Doctor Ability: During the night, you may PM me the name of a player. This player will
be protected from all nightkills for that night.
Two-Shot Weak Vigilante Ability: During the night you may pm me the name of another player. This player
will be killed, however if this player is town-aligned you will die too due to guilt.
Vanilla Townie x6 Ability: You have no special abilities.
Mafia wincon
You win when all players without a mafia wincon are eliminated and at least one mafia-aligned
player is still alive (or nothing can prevent the same).
Godfather Ability: You will show up as "NOT GUILTY" in cop results.
Mafia Roleblocker Ability: During the night you may PM the name of another player. This player will
have their night actions blocked.
Mafia Goon Ability: You have no special abilities.
Note: you will not know what characters are in the game
For a majority lynch to take place, 7 votes on one player is required. Votes will be locked if this is achieved.
If a majority lynch is not achieved, a plurality lynch will take place, meaning whoever has the highest votes will get lynched.
Oh sounds about it.
I google it and I saw a bunch of RV vans, so I tough you mean the Train thingy that people try to do.
Me already over thinking stuff >.>
RVS is random voting stage. The point is to try and pressurize people by casting a vote on them. You do this to get information out of them so that you can get something to work with and actually cast a meaningfull vote.
And just FYI, some experienced players consider what you did an OMGUS vote (Oh my god u suck) which is usually voting on the person that voted on you without giving a reason. Doesn't really matter in RVS stage but later on you might want to try and refrain from doing so, or at least give valid reasoning. Otherwise people tend to think of you as scum (general term for mafia or other harmfull stuff to the town)

:C I'll take that on board.

But yeah, originally thought wen's entrance was just info-dropping scum-appeasement helpfulness shite, but then I thought it was Non-Alignment Indicative, and then I thought it was townie.
