Hmm, I thought the finale was pretty wild imo but also rushed. It's like everything they ever experienced in this cruel world and they're unleashing their anger towards those monsters.

Apparently, Ikoma's powers have grown so OP to the point that he can stop a train with his hands lol. I found the whole segments of Mumei trying to find her place in the world be really weird. Kinda expected Ikoma to fight Biba one-on-one and for once, that Biba bastard actually got beat up a bit.

Mumei returned and I find it extremely predictable that she would attack someone she once trusted: Biba. About time. Happy Mumei is back though :o

Wasn't that bad an ending: a little bit of happiness never hurt nobody and Mumei being the one to finish off her big bro was a nice touch. Despite the overall craziness I found the final showdown to be a bit underwhelming, but production-wise it was very solid so at least there's nothing to complain about on that front. Forced symbolism is forced, though.

Oh, and looks like the stone did have its use, after all, although it was more of a metaphorical one.

Doubt anyone denied the metaphor behind it. What was denied was the special magical macguffin powers a lot of people expected from it

So this is now at the end...And wasn't the next season of Shingeki no Kyojin supposed to start at summer? so this was some sort hype riser for it?

Good series tough.

Ayame really has grown....SHe has become real leader...and Using Ikoma's words....if she had not grown enough that Mob would have killed her. She was so bad ass in that Moment...Real Life person Bad ass! Not amazing fighting, just pure Leadership!

HAHAHA! LOved Looks on Biba's face when he heard that Ikoma was back... Look of pure Realization...of that his Plans...were Competently and Utterly...F***ED!!!!
Loved especially how Ikoma and Kurusu competently One-Shot Slaughtered those Hunters! and Biba's actions of future Breaking and Killing stopped here.

Yeah no Magical powers and thank Kami for that. I would have though this lot worse if it had give any powers to somone.

SO that One Blue-Haired Hunter left with all those hunters that survived to do Biba's will.......wait On Koutetsujou!? O_O Well....Ayame agreed on the trade...but that Mother did what everyone wanted to do....but she deserved to be One to do the thing...it was her child they killed in front of her eyes.

Well Ending was Quite Happy ENding...it was not best but find it agreeable at least. If only Takumi would be here to See it. T.T

There wasn't a date announced in the first place so this whole delay deal is due to false information spread by unprofessional news websites :)

Biba has the white serum given in this episode, its just that no one knows how he inject it to Ikoma. Well most likely between the fight somehow.

Nope it hasn't been officially delayed at least not yet. There is suppose to be a snk event on July 3 in Japan, I don't want to jinx it but if there is anytime to talk about snk season 2, I would like to believe this would be the perfect time to do it. So there is still a chance that it can be announced for the Fall season.

Wish full thinking on my part.

Welp, my guess was completely wrong. Guess I'm OK with that ending. Wonder when Ikoma got the white blood because that was definitely bothering that he didn't go insane at the end.

First 7 EPs where awesome, last 5 was a bit shaky and rushed at best. Overall pretty good series

Rather a pretty good happy ending, I actually liked how it was done. Of course now the show would get an amount of hate for it.

Surprisingly I like this even more than Attack on Titan in terms of the story and to some extent the characters. (I do kinda agree to some degree that the characters are rather lacking something, but for some reason I liked them).

Not the best of the entire season but it was sure hell of an enjoyable watch for me.

Neither the idea that SNK 2 was meant to air in summer nor the rumors of a potential delay are true. Only information we've had so far is that it was due for 2016: until confirmation of an official release date that's the only thing we know.

Hmm.... I thought that Ikoma will sure die but he lived and I'm kind of happy. Glad that Mumei finished off Biba and didn't hesitate. At least the 2 that I wanted to live, Ikoma and Mumei, are alive and that's what I was wishing (PLEASE LET IKOMA AND MUMEI LIVE, PLEASE DON'T LET THEM DIE) for from the beginning. At least Biba did something good before dying too.

Since this show is kinda like a clone of SnK and without Snk it wouldn't have existed I guess I'll give it a 8/10 overall.

Anyway, It sure was a fun and intense ride! ^_^

Given we know Biba had a vial of white blood on him he had to have given it to Ikoma sometime between the Mumei Fused Colony breaking down and her waking up. Given Ikoma was already blind at that point he could have done it unnoticed. After all Ikoma was AWAY from Mumei when she woke up suggesting he had been pulled away from her.

I was wondering about that, thanks. I'm still kinda confused as to why Biba saved Ikoma, though. Did he decide he wanted a fair fight after Ikoma caught Biba trying to stab him from behind?

That or perhaps he wanted to give Ikoma a reward in case he finished Biba off. Biba would be among the people who knows best what the black blood will do so he'd know Ikoma was going to die because of it.

This was a huge mess lol. First in episode 11 how they just let them into the base, then Mumei suddenly getting her memories back (that was a different drug)......then Ikoma using freaking magic on the train that was gonna run him down.

The best part though? And this part apparently seems to have been missed by most people: They ended up exactly where they started before the whole Biba arc even began. They're stuck on the train, trying to find someplace safe to go. Right back to where we started.... I guess we're supposed to assume it will work out since they said "there has to be a path" (Great logic btw lol...). In the end, it was a mess of a show after the first half. A real shame since I had it started off at a 9/10. I've never dropped a score so far, but I have to give it only a 6/10 for how much it failed at.

Edit: As the people questioning when Biba used the white blood on Ikoma, I assumed he shot it into him with the gun :|

Man and this started off quite good, when Biba and his crew arrived everything went sideways, the ending was rushed as hell.

Also tf we literally only got 1 episode of our MC Ikoma being OP.... Jeebus.
Not sure if a 2nd season is up for grabs since it seems this'll be getting a theatrical compilation this coming December and January.

No, the white blood pulls her out of her Nue transformation. She's still a kabaneri.

She confirms that at the end when she tells Ikoma that he has yet to make good his promise to turn her back into a human.

Love this anime but god damn I HATE Ayame. She carries responsibility for chosing her small train population over an entire god damn city by not opposing Biba and it is never brought up. She wears pink constantly and speaks in a lovely way that makes her seem like an angel and I'm there thinking 'she fucking helped cause a massacre because of her selfishness'. And yes, choosing to save your friends over thousands of people IS selfishness.

Action was cool I guess. And we got to see some Mumei BAness for a second at the end there at least....

Biba was 2fab4me until the very end XD Gotta admit I loved how his face was drawn. Ikoman was cool too.

It's surprising to say but Kurusu is probably my fav character by the end lol. Ayame is best girl. She's too beautiful. Gotta love Yukina's stripping every time she gets serious

This show felt like it was assembled by a focus group. There's the heartless villain who shows up out of no where with cool hair and a fancy sword. The hero gets upgrades before the last episode, kicks a lot of ass, and, just when you think he's about to be killed, his loli waifu sweeps in and saves him.

This show was filled with contrivances, but it wasn't boring, and it had some genuinely fun moments.

Episode: 4/5
Series: 6/10

Well Biba's fate was obvious, I don't think anyone denied that that was going to happen. I thought Ikoma would deal the final blow, but it turned out to be Mumei. I guess it's another one of those cases of someone killing the person they idolized the most. And Biba turned out to be a Kabaneri, I'm sure most people called that too. How the hell did Ikoma just stop that train with some magical Kabaneri powers? That felt really random because, unless my memory just sucks, I don't recall seeing that before. I suppose it was an added perk that came with his power up from last episode. I expected Kurusu to die when he went up against all those Kabanes tbh, and idk why but I got a pretty good chuckle from the part where Mumei just threw Ikoma's unconscious body lol. And not surprisingly, Ikoma lived. Idk why people thought he would die, he's the MC so he's got infinite plot armor.

Overall, the anime was really lacking, especially this ending since it felt rushed and haphazard. The only things I actually liked about this show was the ED, English-kun (I wish he had more lines and more screen time), and the action scenes. I couldn't care less about anything else. Thankfully, it looks like there won't be a season 2 (I could be wrong but I hope I'm not). Please Wit, just give us SnK season 2 and stop with the watered down, subpar clones.

@YumeNoMonogatari, I see what you did there, and I like it.

I felt like this anime didn't know what it wanted to do partway through. The animation was good, I liked the character designs and artstyle, the soundtrack was GREAT, but the story really sucked, imo. We never even got an explanation of what exactly this whole virus or whatver is, yet they somehow made those black and white serums which healed or forced the transformation.

It also felt like there was too much forced drama, more so in the latter half of the anime.

Despite all that, I enjoyed it... but I'm gonna have to go with a 5 or 6/10

Also, though she didn't get much screentime compared to the main characters(of course), Ayame shined the most among all the character, imo.

Well.... a pretty ok episode, I wasn't that much surprised with everything that happened here. At least Biba died, I'm glad with that, also my boy Kurusu survived, the only character remaining that I liked.
The OST and visuals was good, it's something I liked from this series, but the plot... yeah, I just think this anime could have been better developed with more episodes. Overall 7/10. Biba was a mistake.

Yes it was Biba who cured Ikoma. Before their fight, Biba's followers came up to him with an antidote and said that because the Kabane were advancing faster than they expected, he should take the antidote to prevent (I guess? Even though he was a Kabaneri?) the infection from spreading further. And then after Ikoma cures Mumei, Biba shoots Ikoma and as the bullet hits Ikoma's body, we see a green spark, which is later implied to be the white blood.

What a poor way to end the series. Sure, the action was as well done as ever, but it was stupid! Steroid Ikoma gets OP power for no real reason, and it got real stupid real fast. Sure, Biba gets a bit better as a villain here, even recognizing that he was indeed a coward while he was being stabbed by Ikoma, and even did a nice thing by actually curing him (even if it was so he could challenge him) but everything revolving around that action was a total asspull that actually broke a few rules about the show, those being: If a Kabane/Kabaneri gets stabbed in the heart, they will die, the white blood thing cures automatically (as the episode showed us right before), and a few others. Sigh...

This show wasn't as good as it could've been...

At least it fun while it lasted, even if it ended up a Trainwreck in the last few episodes...
