| Rewatching the 1st episode makes me realize even more how my tastes have changed these past couple years. Especially with my opinion on tsuderes :) I won't be rewatching the whole series, but it was a great first episode! |

| So, another violent heroine, eh? I usally hate those types but the premise seems interesting, I'm already seeing where this is heading on love level. And I also like main character, he has pretty interesting personality, not something you see too often in those shows. So far it started pretty decently. Let's see how this show does in attempts to change my picture of her (well, also 'hers' picture of him). I really wonder if she get likeable in time. |

| Pretty interesting first episode. Ryuuji's mother o.O Bit of fanservice there how she was lying on the floor, also she is a little crazy, but I like that :D Ryuuji is cute in them shorts. Taiga is also cute, a bit ungrateful but I'm sure she'll warm up in no time. I wonder why her apartment was so messy? It's a nice apartment though! |

I never read the manga, but this anime has potential, if they do tone down the "Ryuuji is scary!" stuff. I seriously doubt they'll let Taiga calm down, given the popularity of psychotic "tsundere" these days. |

Ok, now I understand why everybody says Taiga is the queen of Tsunderes... enough to see the first seconds of the episode and the OP to notice xD So much TSUN pouring out of such tiny body jaja. WTF THAT'S his MOTHER!? But she looks like his sister at much! Oh Japan... oh anime/manga... weird as always. And that way to talk to her son.. oh god.. I can't take this xD Moving on. What kind of reputation does Ruuji have? He seems like a pretty normal guy to me. Of course, compared to Taiga... well, jaja. "BAKA!" xD The classic tsundere line was so obvious it made me laugh jajaja. Good, good. She's a walking tsundere stereotype. Only 20 minutes and so much happened. |

| I first watched Toradora! ages ago. It’s been over six years at least, maybe eight or nine. It was one of the anime I watched before I really got into anime from what I recall. I got a bit nostalgic for the good parts here recently, but at the same time I remember there being a lot of it I didn’t care for even back then. Since I’ve wondered off and on over past couple years what I would think of it these days, I decided to give it a rewatch. My first impression of Minori seems to match what was in my memory. She seems to be annoying and a bit of an airhead. Taiga is as overly violent as I recall. The starting developments are pretty over the top, but I can appreciate what humor was present. Let’s just see how it goes, I guess. By the way, for anyone new to the series who watched this episode and thought “oh great, another tsundere”: Taiga is not a tsundere; she’s just violent. Why she doesn’t fit the tsundere archetype will become more apparent as the show progresses, so don’t let aversion to the archetype dissuade you from the series if that’s your only qualm. |
