I hear that BNHA manga needed restocked at some point so I guess that could have slightly hindered the sales. Backlog sales are still pretty healthy though.

Also still happy that Kuroko is continuing to sell well.

Love the fact that even after it was reported to have had a stock shortage due to all the printed copies flying off shelves we still have idiots like these saying "it isn't enough".

Apparently the series got a reprint on the 13th so the stock shortage wasn't that bad. Depending on expectations(and bnha had high expectations) you could say he/she isn't wrong to say it isn't spectacular. Don't act like a douche because he/she isn't on Horikoshis sack.

Fans expectation mean jack shit , the only expectation that matters is shueisha and if they had to re print it so soon it means its doing well...(unless this reprint was planned or something like that which is a possibility, re printing stuff all of the sudden is a pain in the ass after all)

also since there are digital copies nowadays if it runs out of stock people can just buy the digital copy that has no limited stock.

You can cllearly see on this list thaat it had an effect on sales. Almost all those expectations were unfounded upon, just people riding behind the "next Naruto" meme which is why they're disappointed because they stupidly expect a series not even 2 years old to be selling in the millions by now. Its not even about riding the author its just using common sense.

the Top 4 list is interesting xD
all of them have upcoming new seasons
Arslan, Ajin, Haikyuu & Kuroko's movie xD

Wotaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii have good sales for a Josei manga!
probably it will have a live-action drama and I dunno why I can't except them to make it anime ><
as far as I saw in the last years Japan loves to adapt Josei manga to drama more than to anime xD

Boku no Hero Academia sales are raising little by little!
as excepted from a Shounen Jump manga I guess xD
I'm loving the anime more than the manga!
BONES should consider doing a second season for it!

Dunno if you are joking or not but your comment reeks of Irony...

Edit - Souma has shot up in the rankings so no worries about it even though it was never as low as bleach.

Funny how Terra formars and Kingdom are most of time above TG re in the YJ rankings yet they both don't sell as well in the same time period.

The thing is if it doesn't sell millions now, it probably never will. Nowadays a series almost never grows in popularity after its anime aired and second seasons usually have only a small impact. So, if this was ever to blow up this is the time and the fact that it's 2 years in or not won't change that. The only recent exception I can think of is Kingdom and that was a very particular case that BNHA is likely not to replicate.
5 main aspects I base my ratings on:
1. Did DramaEnthusiast make a thread about it?
2. Is it better than Breaking Bad?
3. Did MellowJello recommend the shit out of it?
4. Has it caused a (very entertaining) shitstorm on MAL?
5. Is it actually good?

Scratch the fifth point, it's not very relevant...

Sometimes they do have a big impact. I haven't checked it for Haikyuu or other series but Tokyo ghoul's second season boosted the manga sales as much as the first season did.

During the first cour of the second season most of the Haikyuu volumes jumped into the top 200, and when the second movie released every volume of AssClass was back in the top 100

Also, does anyone have the top 10 series?terraformars and I am a hero may be included

I think Tokyo ghoul and haikyuu were still riding the momentum from their previous seasons. If bnha wants to keep its momentum then they shouldn't wait long to air season 2 or otherwise fans will lose interest like what's been happening with nanatsu and shokugeki.

Indeed BTOOOM! is still doing great for manga sales. The anime sold like dirt but the manga has kept the anime boost ever since it came out in fall 2012 so that goes to show you that it is worth it to have anime for a manga that will continue for 4 years, doubling the readership pays off even if the discs don't break even. And Himiko is pure gold for merchandise.

Weekly top 10 manga series:
*1 276,776 Arslan Senki
*2 140,849 Haikyuu!!
*3 138,165 Ajin
*4 125,853 Boku no Hero Academia
*5 107,876 Kingdom
*6 103,806 Kuroko no Basuke EXTRA GAME
*7 *80,797 Shokugeki no Souma
*8 *80,599 Koi to Uso
*9 *78,168 Tokyo Tarareba-jou
10 *73,568 Terra Formars

Both OP and SnK are now running behind their respective previous volumes so they will definitely end up as the worst performers in years. One Piece average volume first print is now 3.6 million (down from 3.8 million last year and from the all-time high of 4.05 million in 2012). Snk's at 2.25 million (down from its peak of about 2.75 million in 2014). The megablockbusters aren't really in their best shapes right now (let's see what effect if any, the movie and second season will have on each of them respectively).

Boku no Hero seems to be following Arslan Senki rather than Haikyuu/SnK based on its huge Post-GW drop. Still looking at an average of 500-600k per volume when all's said and done.

The boost from the first season hadn't ended yet by the time the second one hit (almost every volume was still in the Top 200) so the second season's boost did not actually match the first one at all, it just added to it.

So i don't know french so how does this work.

The first column is first print numbers? and the second column is total print numbers in the year(2015) in this case. the numbers that are in green are the ones where it had some sort of extra print?

From left to right (columns):

Volume->Initial Circulation (print) of said volume->Total circulation of said volume (till end of 2015)->Total Circulation of the whole series in 2015->Total circulation of the whole series from its start till the end of 2015.

For example, Ajin's 7th volume had an initial print number of 400k units but it was later reprinted and ended 2015 with 440k units. The series as a whole (which means every volume) had 1.44 million copies printed in 2015 alone and 4.17 million overall (at the end of 2015, which means that by now it should be higher with the new volume and the anime boost).

only data i found of Print numbers before was these two

http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2015-06-06/manga-with-biggest-1st-printings-from-kodansha-shogakukan-shueisha-2014-2015/.88955 (april 2014 -march 2015)

yeah its pretty clear that the first print numbers for both have fallen , not sure if its really significant since they adjust it according to sales and sales are effected by the current content of the volume, and this recent volume of OP wasn't exactly filled with action, next volume is in july don't think it will do much better either though

on another page shame this Bnha anime won't get to the best moments of the manga so far, the recent chapters have been fantastic and they will be included in volume 9. From looking at these numbers i guess that volume 9 of BnHA will probably have 700-800k first print
