In other words, quoting Kineta: Loanwords are not, and never will be, directly transcribed from their katakana, so please do not worry that Cowboy Bebop will become Kauboi Bibappu. It has a somewhat complicated history, having been absent from the original Japanese theatrical run and then apparently included in future releases of the first film... on some television airings, anyway. I have not seen the special, but from perusing the reviews it seems relatively light on horror and psychological elements compared to the main series. Could you elaborate on its content? It was like other episodes of the series: Lucy kills in horrific manners and there is a flashback that goes into her psyche a bit, specifically she was so mentally broken she surrendered herself to the research lab she escaped from in the first episode. |

If you go on the official site it has pages for the various tech including youtube vids, company names, etc. For example in the short the MC gets really hurt and has a spinal exoskeleton to help him walk again, that tech is shown here http://sagamirobot.pref.kanagawa.jp/7powers_1.html with artificial muscles including ReWalk which is the basis for the one in the anime  All the tech current exists, the anime is just showing what a refined version would look like in 2028 if people invest in Kanagawa's industrial labor to speed up development. It can't be science fiction if it's reality. |
