| The word weaboo is used far too often. Most people who are called weaboo probably aren't. For example, I scored 6/101 in this "weaboo test", yet could still plausibly be called a weaboo for certain things I do (like preferring all fictional works in their original language). The test obviously isn't an exact science, but it's enough to make a point. Other than a fondness for some of their cartoons and vidya, I have little interest in Japan. The few that actually are hardcore weaboos are fairly cringeworthy, and that's where the distaste for them comes from. I tend to leave them alone if they leave me alone, but people that go over the top with these things are always gonna attract hate and mockery. |
