| im pretty sure everyone knows that this is shonen. its gonna have generic approaches. but ii still love itt all the same. While the premise is generic, the execution is outsttanding. The characters are amazing. this isnt gonna be for everybody. Nowadays people like to group things together instead of looking at it individually. TBH there isnt gonna be anything relativley new to anime in this anime. But its still amazing all the same. So i guess its gonna get mixed reviews, but i doubt this is gonna get overrated Due to, like i said, it being shonen and all. Not to mention everyone knows its generic. All the same, its still good. Also, i dont know if any of you remember, but the first chapter was INCREDIBLY long. I was scared that due to the manga fast pace the anime would be even more so. But rit now, imo, its at a perfect pace. I was afraid that there wasnt gonna be enough material for a second season, but so far. But at this pace, it will be just fine. |

| It is true that the only people properly hating and dropping the series already seem to be anime-only, but it's probably due to the fact the first ep only adapted around half the first chapter, and people don't believe in building story nowadays. If it's not guns blazing in the first ep it's as good as trash. But, since manga readers know what's to come (and there's a couple optimists) this series will probably get the love it deserves. And then be completely riddles with people calling it overrated, ah good times on MAL. Mod Edit: Removed quote of deleted sentence. |

| I loved this episode. A bit surprised it's being taken so poorly from it's first episode but it's an adaptation of less than the first chapter of the manga. I can't say you'll enjoy it but I love this series. And perhaps people went into this series expecting OPM 2.0 with flashy animation and action right off the gate? Bear in mind it's long running Shounen Jump title. At least give it more than an episode before swearing it off. The character must be fleshed out a little. Hell, not even the first episodes of HxH or Fullmetal Alchemist were great. I think the hype from people who actually read this manga and love it fed the wrong crowd. The seasonal Attack on Titan/Fate Stay Night/OPM hype crowd. |

| His backstory was stupid, and as a kid, he was an unstable jittery annoying brat. All the 'villians' were assholes for no reason. Animation looks kewl. It's an alright first episode, but I don't see it getting any better. I did laugh when that kid was crying tho xD |
I dare you to say one protagonist of shonen that was a coward and becomes courageous definitely. They always are or full of confidence or spineless characters that only gain determination in the action, but once everything is over, they return to what they are. The thing about Boku no Hero it's that the author know how to write. The characters start one way but they have a evolution little by little, with nuances here and there. | is the main character really doesn't have any power ? if he is then that is a really brilliant story from the author. great idea. i was wondering 'what kind of story it is that makes it so popular' , no wonder, it was really great in my opinion. "In the middle of all Espers, there is one normal human who wants to become a hero" i really like that tbh. OP song was great too, i like it. the end was good. looking foward for the next episode. |

| With all the hype this got, 1st episode didn't feel anything special. I've kept thinking 'a cheaper OPM' (because of the artwork) But I'm not giving up, I actually don't want to be disappointed by this anime |
| A pretty good start. I'm liking the colourful art used for the show. The animation's consistent and smooth too. Deku will probably be a character that'll progress nicely as the show goes on. It sucks seeing him get bullied so easily by his whole classroom, especially the annoyingly arrogant Kacchan. All Might is as much of a badass as I hoped that he'll be. Honestly, I wasn't expecting him to say "shit" out of nowhere though. XD Whether or not this show will match the hype for it remains unclear, but I am hoping that it does. |

| Best first episode I've watched so far. Love the opening. Love the art style and the animation. Deku was such a cute kid. | Haven't actually read the manga because too busy nowadays and reduced to watching anime only instead (can play in the background). The criticisms this episode gets from the vocal minority is quite funny though as I thought this series perfectly captured the shounen spirit. It's definitely above average in terms of anime series I have recorded watching since I've joined MAL (8-9 years). And people hating on the MC because he's a coward... I can only shake my head and respect your opinion based on the *first* episode of a shounen series.... like seriously? |

| dang... Amazing 1st ep. Cant believe the amount of character they built on the MC. I mean, one of the most epic 1st episodes ... The MC alrdy has a complete character. I could write stories about him.... The monologue he had after the kacchan bullied him in class n burnt his notebook... 'You l be in danger if i commit suicide... bakayaro' i mean, rlly? :( hes such a good kid. |
| This is like One Punch Man. Dat backstory, Midoriya doesn't have "Quirk" (well he obviously fucking does) That escalated too fast, we see a green monster go in on Midoriya. "It only hurts for 45 seconds" "You'll fell better after that" ok. Texas smash. Finding this quite similar to OPM. How is he flying so much with just a jump, well Saitama went to space and jumped back to earth so whatever lel. Well that pacing was slow, the episode was fine though. I feel the art and animation can be better, it's not bad in any way so let's see what happens. The audio is good 2.8/5 |

| Not a fan of the main character. Hope he gets enough development in this season to change my opinion. Episode itself was alright, nothing amazing. Also tentacle fluid rape. |

Ok first of all, I thought he is the MC's mom intil they showed his face and I went wth. I bet he's gonna turn into tsundere good guy later, not interested.
