Requests, fixes, desired features?
If you have any special requests or fixes you'd like to have for the new MAL style let us know here. Otherwise we will just make our own without your input!

Update!
You can now customize the new MAL layout. Go to the http://myanimelist.net/ownlist/style
and click on a theme to change it:

However I do want to remind everyone that the new HTML has changed often in some of our early experiences; so this may not be the final layout and your old layouts could be nullified. THIS HAS HAPPENED BEFORE.

I'm going to try to get word or not if this is the final HTML so we can make custom CSS layouts without fear of losing our work down the line.

Got some ideas?
However if you wish to customize the new theme during this uncertain time, please share your designs here or in this club! I've asked ppl for any desired features so there may be some in the comments.

i actually have one layout ready:

and here's the code

the green dots mean airing / not yet aired
i increased the covers height/width
hover left side of 'score' to get 'edit and 'more' buttons
the 'viewing xx anime list' isn't styled, i'll edit it once the new default layout is totally out
it's not the final version, once the default layout final version is out, i'll probably edit again so feel free to use this until then

For me the only difference and the biggest improvement of modern style is integrated anime covers. As for CSS, you can make classic style look like modern with no problems, so the only reason for me to use new HTML structure is that it could be mandatory

I'm waiting for the final, stable version so I can work safely without the possibility of wasting my time. Why don't you hold off the CSS competition until the final release of the modern layout. I'm sure more people will participate, even beginners since it's like a new start. Or is it too late for the change

Thanks for the heads-up. No idea how long that "feature" has been there. I plan to start by reproducing my current style, if only so I'll be ready when they shut off classic. I can't stay I'll use "modern" yet, classic loads faster.

No MAL doesn't communicate all their information at all, so that'd be unreliable to organize a contest around. Also the longer we wait the more likely we won't be able t use the designs we entered which are based on classic, so I want to wrap it up around April 15th

here, actually made this right after they add the modern list, but then i stopped after i'm done with nav drawer. now i don't know what to do again .-.
this modern list have some nice built-in js or so. one i really like is the status bar become fixed on top upon scrolling ==a

I tried to replicate my last layout as a test. Truth is, woking with the status menu or tables is a pain in the ass. You have to manually correct some positionning because it differs from the browser's element inspector.
If you delete some selectors, they are back by default, so you must override them.

Well, it didn't go the way I expected. Guess I'll have to keep the new code in mind for the next design.

What whent wrong in the end :
-the 1px border on tables element is doubled every four item.
-I didn't find a way to change color on hover for both list elements and entry number (at the same time)
-Ratings are still black when not logged in.
-1px borders are far from perfect, I still have to tweak more, there is some left/missing where I didn't want them. Fixed.
-zoom on fonts while hovering destroys all the pagination, so I kept it for later
-I need a premade floating menu if I want to change more than the color!
-Same for covers preview. I'm not skilled enough to get it back on modern.

Apart from these, it's not that bad, even cross-browser proof to a certain level. But I sure would keep the old layout if I could, no need to reinvent the wheel.

May I ask what should I do to either push the footer to the bottom of the screen when I'm only viewing a short list, or join it with the list so that there are no extra parts sticking out?
