Additional Cast for 'Ajin Part 2: Shoutotsu' Announced

The official website for the Ajin movie trilogy has released a promotional video, announcing the additional cast members for the second movie Ajin Part 2: Shoutotsu. In addition, the video announces the movie's theme song, titled innocence by LAMP IN TERREN which will be released as a CD single on May 3.

Cast
Sokabe: Kenichi Suzumura (Kara no Kyoukai)
Almeida: Toshiyuki Morikawa (Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children)
Myers: Maaya Sakamoto (Kizumonogatari Part 1: Tekketsu-hen)
Takeshi Kotobuki: Soma Saito (Zankyou no Terror)
Shinya Nakamura: Yuki Kaji (Noragami Aragoto)

Shinya Nakamura will also appear in the Ajin OVA, which will be released on the same day as second part’s premiere, May 6, 2016.

Ajin so far was enjoyable enough kind of mindless work for me to actually pick up the manga. That said I can't wait to see how they handle the second movie. Hopefully it will get series re-release just like the first.

That PV is awesome. Can't wait for this movie, although we've technically seen a good chunk of it because of the TV series.

Cool, totally forgot about the OVA. I was like who's this Shinya guy? Went back to read that chapter 0 :) Shinya seems like a very Kaji character.

"Get money by the movie then rebroadcast it on TV and sell it too" sounds like a good business model for me and no it is not popular, the first movie did 28.5 million yen in 5 days which isn't that good.

I really don't see the point in making the movies but if they add a good chunk of stuff (even though I dont like Ajin that much) then it can be nice.

But the TV recut seems to adapt further than the first movie based on the last episode PV I saw. What is the point of a screening after TV broadcast for this 2nd movie?

But don't worry, you're not alone. A lot of people like Matsuoka and Kaji's screaming. I'm just one of those who don't w because of that year when Kaji got a ton of MCs roles and was screaming in every show, that was overkill for me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
