| If I was that cat, I'd run away too. Naruto is such a loud mouth, but he's hilarious, ignoring the Hokage. XD Once again Sasuke and Kakashi show how awesome they are. I hope this mission goes okay. |

| That cat stomping on Naruto's face, hehe. Sasuke was awesome in that fight! And yay for Sakura, who at least remembered to protect the old guy. And as much as Naruto is a goofball most of the time, he can get pretty intense once in a while. Stabbing his hand like that must have hurt like hell! ★4/5 |
| Ah, no wonder this series got so popular. Watching this again at this point when I have 10 years of anime experience, I can't help but just be surprised how great of the start Naruto truly had. Thinking about it again, if one cuts out the fillers from the first season, first season is actually absolute greatness. I started the rewatch thinking that I will stop soon but... |
| I laughed when both Sakura and Naruto doubted the Hokage, after Kakashi explained about the shinobi system. It's your standard explanation for world building, but you can tell there's a lot ahead given the information about the different hidden villages out there. They definitely aren't ready for this high level mission as genin, but Naruto insists they continue, perhaps mostly due to how useless he felt. I don't blame him, training inside the safety of your village doesn't prepare you for real world dangers, but I'm glad Naruto was able to face such danger so early on. He seems like he'll be ready for the time when he'll face an enemy. Sasuke was cool of course, and while Sakura was scared as well, it's great that she was able to remember that their mission is to protect Tazuna. Kakashi stole the spotlight though, being observant and trying to confirm who the target is. |

| Great episode! Sasuke was badass and a lot of worldbuilding going on! I really really like Naruto, it had been great since the first episode with no bad episodes yet. I also like the way how the protagonist starts absolutely from zero. In comparison to One Piece, Luffy was already OP in the beginning. |
| really didn't excepted naruto not to be afraid, his first serious mission after all, but sasuke really made him seems as the underdog. and naruto development is great. |

| Oh how I loved it when Naruto yelled that he didn't want the mission to end and cut his arm with a knife. But even funnier is his fear that he will die from blood loss. Moreover, the blood had already stopped by that time ... But no one noticed this! |
