| i would say nana from elfen lied, she is born in a facility where she is tortured till she iw will into her teens, and when she finally sees the outside she gets her arms and legs torn off which doesnt seem to bother her a whole lot shes just upset she dissapointed the one person she feels attachment to. though in the end she does end up in a happy place |

| I forgot to mention, the one Code Geass character that really should be felt sorry for is Orange-kun. Lelouch fucks up his rep out of pure chance, and his life just goes downhill from there. I guess things end up okay, but that doesn't make up for it. Mao too. He's a pretty tragic character, but nobody seems to care about him. |

| I would have said Yoite from Nabari no Ou, but the way you elaborated, I would then go with Himemiya Anthy from Revolutionary Girl Utena. She's basically blamed for everything from small things to some almost cosmic twist and gets literally slapped around (and even raped) because of it. The funny thing is that even most viewers blame her for everything despite knowing the story. That's tough, man. My second fav character, too. |
