| That was pretty sad. The episode was an appropriate flashback, it felt like it fit in, which is good because a lot of series don't use flashbacks correctly. This episode did it just right. Also, the music in this episode was great! |

| Episode 27 - Summer was too short...Goodbye, Kacchan! This is quite sad, flashback after a tragedy with ambient music, too bad the animation can't really show emotions in the face, but the set of music and flashback really worked to express the sadness of this tragedy. Tatsuya is even hearing classical music like his brother even tough it cause he an headache, and he remember what his brother said about putting more effort to things and the much he loved Minami, so this may be the change he needed to improve, and this might be the first step to a total change of life. Minami experiences the time they spent together. Next episode seem promising. 5/5 |
| Kacchan is truly gone, and now there's only frustration, grief, and maybe even regrets left behind. I really wasn't expecting this, his life was cut too short, summer was over too soon, and now the game is over. |

| Part I - End This whole episode was dedicated to Kazuya Uesugi, also known as Kacchan. It was mostly just Tatsuya and Minami reminiscing about the last memories of Kacchan which gave it almost a recap episode vibe. Wait a min, a recap episode... that's good?! But I'd rather if other anime don't try to copy this approach because, you know, it involves a tragedy. The trio is really over... Part of me wished that Kacchan didn't die. Maybe he could get crippled or put in a long coma... just anything but death. But it can't be helped. The love triangle had reached a point of no return. Tatsuya, Kazuya, and Minami, all of them acknowledged that they couldn't stay childhood friends forever... So from a storytelling perspective this made perfect sense but I'm still left devastated... The insert songs really set the mood. I don't know if I should watch the next episode today. I binged episode 1-27 in like 3 days. (yeah I know some nerds will consider that amateur but Idc) But it looks like Tatsuya might be welcomed to the baseball club unlike my prediction. The boxing club probably put him into shape. It's a shame we couldn't see a serious baseball match between the two brothers. Could've made an awesome finale. |

| Snoozefest recap like episode tribute to Kazuya. There's no single sign of grief of mourning for his death from Tatsuya, his parents and Minami, wtf I guess they are just robots that only think of baseball. Maybe it was just really terrible portrayal or they just want to remove Kazuya from the show. I wanted to know his teammates' reactions and Kazuya's proper funeral is going to be handled. Hopefully, it is not just a cheap time skip though. |
