Has anybody seen the new Transformers movie? If so, is it any good?
first one was Shia LaBeouf, second one is also Shia LaBeouf. When i think of Shia LaBeouf, i think of an awful show that used to be on disney called even stevens. i don't care if he's all grown up, he's still that same annoying character to me, i can never take him seriously.

He probably was intended to be taken seriously before the role was cast. then they gave it to him and were landed with a gobshite.

well, I grew up with nickelodeon for a few years then it stopped airing here. it came back as "Nick" a few years ago.

But I remember watching... Pete & Pete :D and some other fun shows lol

I have great pride for my generation. Pete & Pete was quality, we have the first two seasons on DVD. But for some reason, right before they were going to release the last season, they didn't. You didn't miss much between then and now, back then was when all the good stuff was on, I am appalled by what the young ins are subjected to today (pretentious, moi?) Are you Afraid of the Dark, Salute your Shorts, Ren & Stimpy, Doug, Roundhouse. And not just Nick, lots of shows on network cable etc, like ALF. Oh, ALF :-)

Ah yes, Ren & Stimpy. great. ... and I always loved Doug. Nothing really happened but it was still fun to watch lol
Yeah, ALF is awesome. Though one thing upsets me.... when I was younger I didn't really care about it but now I'm really disappointed with the half-arsed ending D:
I grew up watching lots of sitcoms and everytime I see one of these now I wonder "did I really get that as a kid?" lol like "who's the boss" or "married... with children".

Two out of Three Seasons isn't bad, trust me. Pete & Pete is quality, I know people watch some shows like that online, but sometimes it's totally worth it to have it, if even a little bit. I was walking through the store with my brother the other day, and I was really noticing all of the TV Shows now available for sale because of the compression possible by releasing media on disc format. We are suddenly seeing these shows that we haven't seen in decades suddenly appear in full on the shelves of stores down the streets, shows that were once only available in archives or on dusty VCR cassettes in the collective shelves of a disjointed, collection of past viewers.

lol yeah.
though there are some shows where I have to ask myself why people buy them on dvd.... or at least, why they should buy them on dvd now.
there are some shows that have been airing here for over 10 years... re-run after re-run after re-run... like roseanne, married...with children, fresh prince of bel-air.... yet people buy them on dvd.

but oh well, to each their own. :D

i couldn't watch that, but just looking at the cast listing, and the guests, i am shocked, Frakes, Sirtis, Dorn, Spiner, Mulgrew, and Nichols. lol, cast members from three trek series.

Even though Rocko was probably just as crazy, and of the same genre as Spongebob but I still can't shake the feeling that Rocko is of such a higher caliber than anything like Spongebob. Rocko and Ahh! Real Monsters were the best.

Pimp My Ride was just on, Xzibit was pimping an old lady's ride, everyone was crying, it was a very emotional scene. :-)

Ren is no doubt a chihuahua. Small size and the ears. My neighbor has one. It's as skinny and erratic (stupid) as Ren. I'm not sure about Stimpy.

wiki said:
Stimpson "Stimpy" J. Cat (first appearance: "Big House Blues", 1990) is a three year old,[7] fat, untailed, red and white Cornish Rex cat with a blue nose, purple eyelids, human-style buttocks, and flat feet.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ren_and_stimpy

Yet, looking at Stimpy's picture - I find it difficult to match any type of cat as far as caricature-wise.

The series concerns the adventures of the eponymous characters: Ren Höek, a psychotic "asthma-hound" chihuahua, and Stimpson J. Cat, a dimwitted Manx cat.

However, looking at the cornish rex, it's still off.

Same goes for the manx.

It isn't the color that's setting me off though. It's the shape -- and its features. By the nature of caricature, y'can pretty much draw anyone and anything with exaggerated proportions and still be able to recognize the original image, person, or animal that it is based on.

For example. George Bush was drawn so many different ways but just by looking at them, we can tell that they're drawings of Bush - especially the funny ones.

But for Stimpy. I dunno.

I would normally say that's because you're a cat person. But I would have to agree, because if I hadn't been told in the show, I don't think cat would have been my first guess for Stimpy.

Good idea, I'll be off then.

Since Stimpy has a litter box I immediately knew it was a cat.
But other than that he doesn't look very cat-ish, true.
