| Inherently, Pokemon seems very innocent on the surface in that its supposed to teach you about caring and loving your animals, etc etc. But the fact is that it is a show in which animals are pitted against each other, much in the vane of cock fighting or dog fighting. It may not look that brutal on the surface, but the paralell is there. |

| In the games, you are a 10 year old that can travel the world, capture beasts and put them in little balls, (and upload them on computers as well) and the games also teach that kids can play slot machines and gamble for coinz. :P If Pokemon wasn't a kid's show, it could be a show about terrorists almost... With attacks like explosion, flamethrower, and poison gas. Heh. Pokemon would make good tools for that kind of stuff. Team Rocket never goes far enough. |

LMAO. According to my dad: -Charmander turning someone sooty is equivalent to a terrorist killing someone with a flamethrower. -Pikachu shocking someone is equivalent to electrical torture. Thus, Pokemon is a show very inappropriate for children. (It's funny that he said this when I was 10 and I still remember it.) |

| While I can see why people would think this, wouldn't it also be safe to say that Pokemon also shows that it's never okay to abandon your animals? And that you shouldn't push your Pokemon? Nor should you fight them till you're on the brink of death? Also that you should treat your animals like you're friends or family and treat them with love and respect? |
