5/5

This episode makes the original anime, compared to those shown in this winter season.
Festival, which surrounds the serious issues in the plot Hachiken addresses the father's right to sell, it is to meditate on his words.
Narrative that shows well both the growth of Hachiken, but also that of Mikage.
Funny festival, good graphics and animations.

Do not throw away anything ...

This episode: top to bottom good. Like reject potatoes.

That last page of the guestbook had me crying like Hachiken. …(•̩̩̩̩_•̩̩̩̩) Godammit. I was not expecting any of that.

Great episode. -sniffle- So far much better than the first season, which felt clunky, and as a fan of the manga, disappointing.

Fantastic episode once again! Hachiken recovered pretty quickly, thankfully. I hope his relationship with his parents improve. The scene with him and Aki in the club room was touching. I can't wait to see the next episode!

Thanks for Hachiken's hardwork, the festival went good enough.
I don't like his dad, he's so annoying. His mom is so kind.
I'm glad nothing bad happen to Hachiken. Poor Nakajima sensei.
Gotta sleep now for school tomorrow -.-

I'm sure you guys know more about his mother than he does, right?

I'm kinda confused with what's going on with Hachiken really. He went to that school because he wants a change of pace. He's tired of always competing with other students about who gets a higher grade. He just wants to chill and enjoy high school life. But he's still competitive. He still goes on about academic studies. He feels off when other students can do something that he can't (that thing with Maron). Basically, he hates losing. He's an achiever, he wants to be the best, he wants to impress and be recognized by people especially his father, who clearly doesn't give a damn about him. I say, forget what other people might say, just do what you want to do. Though that in itself is still a problem because so far he's still not sure about what he wants to do. Goddammit. Whatever man just don't treat your mother like that, she seems ok compared to your father.

oh shit. Buddha-sensei has been busted by the principal. I hope he doesn't get fired lol.

His father was right about everything he said, it's not normal for a student to collapse because he worked for a stupid festival, well, if that was in real life and not anime.
RIP cheese.

Another great episode. I can definitely relate to Hackiken feeling like he was useless because he felt like he didn't do enough to help. Also really nice moment between Hachiken and Mikage towards the end.

And RIP to Sensei's cheese stash. Sad to see it go...

I hated this episode. Even though it supposedly ended on a positive light. The dude worked his ass off and the only reward he got was a pat on the back and some potato chips. It must suck to have that kind of "friends". They didn't visit him, they didn't call him, they didn't even bother to send any 'get well' cards or something. They just enjoyed themselves with the excuse that "Hachiken would've wanted this" and the moron, Hachiken, just ate up their excuse like a 5-star meal. Fuck these guys.

A small part of me thought that Yuugo's dad would have gone to the festival and left a note in the guestbook, but nah, that's way too kind for his strict character who we just met and established as being a hard-ass. That would have been too much resolution at this point in the narrative. A sappier story might have gone that route.

When hachiken was first seen laying in the hospital there was a canular (the needle) in his arm (the one connecting to the iv drip) but a few seconds later when he is about to get out of bed it's gone and no trace of the canular ever being there. Am I just stupid or is this a continuaty error on A-1's part?

I'm with you there. It's a bullshit excuse. They didn't even search him out when they were done. As I said elsewhere, the writer must be autistic to think that this constitutes romance. When he cries she just sits there like a lump. He worked his arse off.

But, judging by most of the posts, the dad is the bad guy for not supporting his son in going to a dumb school that doesn't best suit his skills. Sure, he was rude to his mum but hes also unhappy, his son's in hospital. But MC is rude to his mum too. Her crime was to try to make son feel better about his stupid bacon. She was concerned for her son. Dad asked the teacher to look after his son. What did his friends do? Some friends. At least mum and dad visited him and most of what dad said was correct.

Meanwhile, love interest, who left him in hospital and was preparing for a party, is great. As the dad said, no one came to visit after he collapsed. Should have taken his son out of there. And when he cried she did nothing. She kept secrets from him with the baseball ace. A really promising romance. Go for it. And prepare to be crushed in future. Only in anime and manga does a one sided relationship like this have a cat in hells chance. It is incredible that anyone in Japan stays together if they think this is normal.

Unnecessary drama with dad. But ossan's right about those supposed friends.

They are all jerks, they skinned him alive then treated him like a livestock.
Send a get well note with sensei assholes.
