Though Dio's body changed that he cannot do coupling with him. Kirito coupler x KajiKaji's character?! Enemy again, they are blocking the coupling, so Dio fought back. KajiKaji's character staying... that means? |

This episode was boring, even with the fights & Fromm introduced. I hope the pace picks up. 2. I wish there isn't always fight scenes at the end of each episode. gets too predictable 3. | Meh, watching them fly around like chickens with their heads cut off is getting old. Do the alliance mechs even have weapons? Haven't seen Aoba do shit other than killing the 1 enemy mech pilot when he first came to the future. Learn to fire a gun or swing a sword already. |

It would've been enough to introduce Fromm and the Imperial guards -.- I'm wondering why Aoba can couple with anyone at high levels? Will Fromm be using one of the main machines sometimes now or was it a one time things? Well...hope nxt ep is better. |

| Nice episode. The battle at the end was really good. Imperial guards, just as their names suggests, are really tough cookies to deal with. Each mech is a true tank with shield that can spam missiles and mines. The commanding unit uses a dang shotgun. Man, shotgun is rare in mecha show. I'm glad they include it in Buddy Complex. People seem to think battle should have a lot of deaths. Remember that these guys are elite of elite in Zogilia. They fight with competent tactic devised by a capable commander. Mine spam and tank mech are a clever way to negate high maneuverability of the Coupling system. If not for Dio's courageous attack through the formation, Luxion would have been shot. One important note here is Aoba seems to be able to couple with any pilot as implied by Dio's thought. That means it is Aoba's unique ability as a time traveler. Who can say Aoba won't couple with Hina in the future? |

| ^ My thoughts exactly. I was about to be really disappointed in the show when I thought it was going to just be a beach episode, but luckily they only did maybe a single frame of a "beach episode". And yeah, I dunno why some people are saying this was a bad episode, there was nothing filler-esque about it. True this is only a one-cour, but I have a feeling it'll have a second season... at least I hope it will, otherwise all the build-up may be kind of a waste, but I'm pretty sure it will. The fact that a new protagonist just got introduced is really kind of a big deal in my opinion. I'm not sure what purpose having 3 couplers will serve just yet, but it could definitely be useful to say the least. |

We see that Dio and Aoba have had better rapport after Aoba's nice gesture toward his sister. Dio shows himself to be a tsundere, which I've suspected for a while now. His effort to save Aoba was cute. On Zogilia's side, we see Hina begining to have more questions about this mysterious enemy pilot. It's funny to see her being back in suspicion due to Aoba not attacking her :D. It's also nice to see Hina smile again. Bizon looks like a really cool bro. It will be hard to see him devolve into madness due to Aoba taking everything away from him. btw, that lazy Captain is definitely my favorite character so far. |

| Dio is clearly the tsundere of this series. Well, time for the dere to kick in as Fromm threatens his relationship with Aoba! Overall, this wasn't all that exciting of an episode and felt like kind of a waste, but I guess it was more setup than anything else. I just hope this won't end up being rushed... Inb4 Dio dies because he's now expendable :3 |

| Awesome, didn't know Kaji Yuuki would be in this. So many of my favorite VAs :) but that still doesn't make this episode/series more interesting... So predictable that while they're filming, the would be attacked. And of course Fromm joining them too. Or that Aoba is able to couple with Fromm as well. wingzer012 said: Almost identical wavelength, similar faces and voice, Fromm has to be Aoba's Descendant! | Darn. I wan to see the Vice Commander wear one. Too bad. I can see this episode as a nice introduction for the new characters. And a nice bit of refreshment from the battles. Anessa falling in love with the handsome Fromm was amusing. Dio starting to get soft on Aoba and showing his dere side was a nice character development. A bolt action rifle? Whoa! You never see that in a mecha anime often. I had the same thought when I heard Fromm spoke. I thought Aoba and him had the same VA but researching a bit tells me I'm wrong. Lets see... Wait... Aoba = Kirito Hina = Sachi Huh? |

| Meh episode, introducing a sociable, flattering guy. Guys who always give tons of lip service aren't exactly my favorite type of guy. Just seems to thrown in to cause some strife between Aoba and Dio again, something they already have enough of. That or like others pointed out, to just be the likable guy that'll get killed, so Aoba can truly start to despise the enemy. |

| wasn't a huge fan of fromm at first but he's not bad :) lol dio's LET'S COUPLING was a refreshing scene. great battle too! i was so sure aoba was done for when he was trapped among all the aerial mines just goes to show dio's still the best when it comes to combat ^^; |

I familiarized both Matsuoka, Yoshitsugu and Kaji Yuuki VA. Also many VA too. Yep Hina is Sachi. I hope Kirito can finally save Sachi this time T__T |
