I just started watching this series yesterday, and zoomed right through all the avaliable episodes...And I must say, this series has to be one of my all time favourites...
Such a brilliant tragedy...
And i guess Lelouch will end up becoming just like the father he hated so...
...
Really...all this tragedy is like drug to me...I cannot recall the last time i watched anything with so much glee...

Definitely an awesome episode imo too. Really enjoyed it. Lelouch is FINALLY showing what his rage/revenge should be doing. I'm very happy where this series is going. No sugar coating, no bullshit, just plain human drive.

i wouldn't wonder if Lulu die in the end.
He's the type of character who is supposed to die
because he's and half villian.
The dead of Euphemia goes on his count.

Yes, Lelouch somehow reminds me of characters like Alucard and Edmond Dantès...death suits him...
All he needs is a grand and glorious way to die...

I don't have any sympathy left for Lelouch at this point. He's lost pretty much everything which initially motivated him. I forsee a cliched battle with his father which makes it apparent he's become just like him.

what i don't get is how euphie died from *a* gunshot wound while mao managed to survive all those injuries he was dealt early on.

It seemed to me that she died because of her resistance to the order. Her condition stabilized and then all of a sudden went crazy.

I agree...her resistance to the order is probably the reason why she died with only one gunshot wound... >.> T.T

i've loved geass since i saw episode one, hooked me instantly.. I kept wondering throughout the series who c.c. is talking to when she's by herself. Did anyone catch the name she mentioned while talking to herself in 23? Creepy ;D

Can't wait for 24 & 25 to air, so s2 can begin... looking forward to it more than any other series ^______^;;

I still hasn't watched ep24-25.

That V2 is strange! XD LOL! Now, I'm thinking that IF that VV is the same as CC. Then, Suzaku is having the same reaction with CC and the same thing for Lulu, why does nothing happens between Suzaku and VV. LOL!

OT:
I won't waste posting my comments here bout this episode, I 'm going to watch 24-25 now! XD

man that ending was very sad for euphemia, the only prince/princess that wanted peace and wasn't corrupt. suzaku is pretty much lelouch's mortal enemy now :(. it seems Lelouch really went too far this time, I can't imagine what would happen if his followers found out some of the things he's done. I guess something had to be the catalyst for all out war. only nanaly could bring him back from his madness it seems now. also what did he mean when he said Euphie was his first love? by nanaly and euphie's comments it seemed euphie and lelouch really really liked each other when they were younger. It still seems like the emperor has been manipulating this whole thing, and he has geass power to, and probably caused lelouch's loss of control.

About the "United States of Japan" statement, I've been unclear of this since the beginning, but is this show supposed to be some alternate time line? In the beginning you see that Brittania controls all of North America but is this supposed to mean that they conquered what would've been the USA or have they controlled it since colonial times?

Heh, I thought about that too. I think everyone is right that the comment seemed funny, but the oddness of it strikes me as a reason to ask, "Why did the author/writer decide to do that?" I wondered if the author might be trying relate this situation to events in American history. I'll have to look into that.

The united states of Japan definitely got ideas in my head about what type of message is being set out, I think it's almost in a way trying to show Japan's pride from everything that's happened. Once again an amazing episode, I can't wait to see how it all goes down....

After doing some reading I have come to realize that the the United States of Japan really just signifies the creation of a republic. Historically speaking this carries huge weight. When the monarchies of Europe were brought down in our world many of the same things happened.

X_X UNITED STATES OF JAPAN?!!!!!1111!1 ahahahahahahahahahhadffghfggh *falls off chair* That was just as creative as his Black Knights or maybe as Haruhi's SOS brigade. xD

This episode is really deep because of Euphie and all...the fact that Lelouch had to shoot her and he mentioned she was his first love when he pulled the trigger.

I kind of read the post on the 3rd page first (I was thinking I watched episode 23, but it was actually 22) And I saw all the people writting "The United Stated of Japan" and I wondered why XD

Then I watched the episode (I was not expected to hear the USJ) and I started laughing so hard XD Then I went back and rewatched it, and started laughing harder than before XDDDD

Ahah thats a very amusing phrase for some reason XD

maan they did Euphie's death amazingly well.. I'm glad Suzaku stood by her and that she managed to fight off the Geass and not kill Suzaku - does this mean that Lelouch's Geass is losing power? o__O but man.. all those people hating her and her dying there made me feel so helpless; and then they all start chanting Zero and Suzaku gets dragged away from her body ToT~~ I admit, I had a few tears then

and man. looks like one awesome finale coming right up.. though am thinking, is V.V like C.C? and if so, will he give Suzaku a Geass of his own? and also, are there 26 of these unimaginatively named immortal beings with spare powers lying around that they can give to just anyone?! >.<

well, despite my last comment, I'm adoring this show.. the last two eps were just.. wow. can't wait to finish it tomorrow and have a sneaky suspicion I might be giving this one a perfect 10.

i feel so bad for euphie!! :(( her intentions were good and innocent and pure! up until the end she was asking if the japanese people were happy while at the same time, the japanese people were saying that euphemia was a despicable witch and stuff like that.. i really feel bad for her.. :(( and it was all lulu's fault.. though i really like lulu, i can't help but blame him.. what was weird is that if he was able to order anyone, why didn't euphie stop when he told her to stop and interesting enough, euphie was the first one to be reluctant to follow an order????? hmmm... and does suzaku know that lulu was the one to blame so that's why he called him at the end??? not sure... and the V.V. and that guy that said good morning? are they the same as C.C.?? hmmm lulu's kinda scary now. hahaha

Now when I rewatched this season I remembered again why this episode was one of the most saddest for me ever in anime(Only TTGL has sadder scene). Euphie's death was so sad that I cried several manly tears again. I have some obsession to pink haired women in anime and I would have liked to see euphie in second season with suzaku =). Though when I watched this series first time I already knew from episode 21 fowards that she would die because this series would have ended with that special ''japanese area''. Still sad....
